Current Rating: 89
Reasons for decrease: Does anyone else think he is still the best or a top 3-5 big man in the league? B/c that is what an 89 is in this league. I don't want to drop him far, but his FG% has fallen over 3% from his career #'s over the past two seasons, minutes have dropped from 37 to 34 to 31 over the last 3 seasons as well. I think he's very good, which my suggested rating will still show, but he's not quite an 89 anymore.
Suggested Rating: 86

I think you're being gentle, honestly. Even at an 86, he'd still be rated as a fringe top 10 big man. Other 86's are Aldridge, Duncan, and Horford and I don't feel Pau is on their level. Yeah, Pau has had a good career, and maybe the offense D'Antoni is running isn't suited to showcase Pau, but that doesn't mean he shouldn't be dropped to where he deserves to be. I would say he's an 84, that still distinguishes him as good but not great. He isn't a premier big as he once was.
Suggested Rating: 84
TL,DR: and 84 still distinguishes Gasol as a top 15 big, but not a top 10 big as an 86 does.

I looked at it for a bit Charles. I won't say you're wrong but some things I noticed:
Career 18.3 points, 17.5 this year Career 9.2 rebounds, 9.8 this year Career 3.3 assists, 3.3 this year Career 1.6 blocks, 1.5 this year Career .5 steals, .4 this year Career 75% FT, 73.5% this year Career 24.7% from 3, 28.6% this year (he barely shoots these but still) Career 51.5% FG, 48.1% this year
Hard for me to drop him THAT far. I think he still may be a borderline top 10 big when you look at everything he does. And actually, biggest thing for me
Career 35:37 mpg, 31:27 this year. So, look at those stats again for this year compared to his career. He's basically right in line with points, blocks, steals, assists and improved rebound compared to his career. %'s are slightly, very slightly down. He's being asked to shoot from outside in D'Antoni's system more than he used to I would say, but still is pretty close to his career #'s. He doesn't seem to be the quite the same player, regardless of what the stats alone tell us, thus my suggested 3 point drop.
84 Just seems a bit low to me right now.

I agree with your points. And this is where on the whole stock watch thing I have questions about. His stats haven't declined, hardly any really. But when you watch Pau, he's not the same guy as he was with the Lakers winning the rings. And my eyes tell me that he isn't as good right now as Duncan/Alridge/Horford (hurt). And maybe that is more a reflection on Aldridge not receiving an increase, Horford being hurt and not seeing a change, and Duncan having just received one. But when do we go with the eyes over the stats and vice versa? Because assigning numbers to these guys is one thing, but what really matters are those numbers in relation to their peers. Duncan almost has identical numbers this season, but when I watch Duncan, I think he is better than Pau. And that's why I said lower than 86, because it would mean worse than Duncan.
And that's just my opinion with my eyes, that Pau right now is worse than Duncan. The stats say they are nearly identical, and if it is just stats, than an 86 is justified. But I don't know when we rely on our eyes vs the stats for this.

Both is fine. I would say, as you mentioned Aldridge is really an 89 not an 86 so yes there is a big difference there, and also that a few of us thought Duncan got decreased too far, I do think he's better than 86. I think Horford maybe should be an 87 or so, they are different types of players and have different strengths and weaknesses, but yea.
86 feels fine for Pau to me, we'll see. I like to think other incorrect ratings don't make me put out an incorrect rating myself. I'd rather just try to fix all the wrong ones.

I still can't get past Pau almost beating team USA practically by himself. I refuse to believe he lost all of that in 2 years. He's still a great player, is he even trying? Probably not, would you be if you were a great player and got screwed essentially running the nursery (all the young players)/nursing home (Kobe and Nash). He's gonna sign somewhere IRL for cheap and just destroy teams and it's gonna be awesome. But that Stock Watch is about what's going on now and he's not performing up to par. I'd say an 86 is where he needs to be at.

In this sim league, David Lee has a rating of 85. I think that David Lee is a better player right now but I will still give Gasol 85

I agree with myro David Lee is a really good comparison for pau. Both offensive oriented big who has little to no defense but can pass score and rebound. 85

Really? Even at this point of his career, you still think Pau is better than Lee? I don't think so

Pau is a better offensive and defensive player and athletically Lee might be a little faster but Pau has the size and strength advantage. If Pau had the same contract as Lee and the Lakers were like hey we'll give you Pau for Lee Golden State would take that trade every day of the week and twice on Sundays.
