Jeff Teague is having a career season of 16.4 PPG, 2.7 RPG, 7.0 APG, and 1.1 SPG playing as a starting PG. On the CBS NBA Total Player Ratings, he is ranked 13th overall in the Point Guard category. For comparison these are the ratings of those ranked below him (with PG stats included): #13 - Jeff Teague (79) - 16.4 PPG, 2.7 RPG, 7.0 APG, 1.1 SPG #14 - Mike Conley (82) - 17.1 PPG, 2.9 RPG, 6.0 APG, 1.5 SPG #16 - Ricky Rubio (82) - 9.1 PPG, 4.5 RPG, 8.5 APG, 2.4 SPG #19 - Tony Parker (86) - 17.6 PPG, 2.2 RPG, 6.1 APG, 0.5 SPG #23 - Jameer Nelson (82) - 12.2 PPG, 3.4 RPG, 6.9 APG, 0.8 SPG #30 - Deron Williams (90) - 14.5 PPG, 2.6 RPG, 6.3 APG, 1.4 SPG #32 - Jeremy Lin (80) - 12.4 PPG, 2.7 RPG, 4.2 APG, 0.9 SPG I feel like he deserves at LEAST to be in the "80s Land". What do you guys think?

Teague has had a great year. Is it because Horford went down, or is he actually rounding into his potential?
I think he should be moved to an 81.

I think Teague's rating must increase to 81 because i think he has a good year this year.

Why aren't FG%/FT%/3pt and 3pt% part of "PG stats"? I'm not saying he's good or bad in any of those, I haven't looked lately, but come on. What about TO's? Ast/TO ratio is a big deal.
I'd say 80 right now but what's the point?

He's an 80 at least. Believe it or not he actually struggled quite a bit after Horford went down and that makes pretty good sense to be honest especially when he has played quite a few games without Milsap as well.

I think an 81 is fair. He's shown he can be consistent and is one of the premier point-guards in the league. Could be a matter of semantics but, premier PG in the league? Stop me when I get to Teague....(not necessarily in order but here we go). I take all the guys in green over him, and that's 14 players. The next group is around where I put Teague, and probably at the bottom of that group. Chris Paul Steph Curry Kyrie Irving Derrick Rose John Wall Ricky Rubio Mike Conley Ty Lawson Tony Parker Damien Lillard Russell Westbrook Goran Dragic Eric Bledsoe Rajon RondoKyle Lowry? Jrue Holiday? Kemba Walker? Deron Williams? MCW IT2 Teague? Calderon Monta Ellis I like Teague honestly, and again I guess it depends what you call "Premier" but to me that means "one of the best"...he's middle of the pack honestly. 80-81 is fine but Premier PG he is not.

I guess your right. Although, I think he still has time to grow and make one all-star game. I still think an 81 is fair. Yea I didn't really have a problem with your rating, though thinking about it more I think he's good at like a 79-80 tops, just me personally, but the use of "premier" should be put into context. He's a nice PG, just not one of the best in the NBA.

To be honest there is Chris Paul, then like 8-12 other PGs that could all be clumped in with one another skill wise, I would say Teague is in that second group easy. There are so many good PGs nowadays that the value has really fallen for them tradewise.

I'll put the PG's into rough tiers. I know the ratings won't flesh this out at this point completely, but I hope it's fairly accurate. Little disagreements are whatever but the real purpose of this is where does Teague fall? Chris Paul Steph Curry Russell Westbrook Kyrie Irving John Wall Derrick Rose Rajon Rondo Damien Lillard Goran Dragic Mike Conley Ty Lawson Tony Parker Ricky Rubio Kyle Lowry Eric Bledsoe Deron Williams Jrue Holiday Kemba Walker MCW IT2 Teague? Personally I like 16 guys clearly over him, and if it were a trade situation, I'd choose Jrue, Kemba, MCW, and IT2 over him or equal at worst. He's around the 20th best PG in the league.

I just bolded the PGs on that list that are better than Irving right now, and underlined the players I think that should be bumped down a tier.

Sorry Kemba should just be bumped a tier I don't think he's better than Irving.
