I accept simply because I need shooting at either 3 or the 5 and Diaw can give me either one. While I know this sort of looks unbalancing for me on paper, most of these guys are scrubs and it's basically Williams and 27-1 Golden State's 1st for Diaw. Additionally, Diaw's large contract will help me be able to make trades without doing something like this again.
PS. I will sign three guys in conjunction with this deal.

Yeesh, I really don't like trades that look like this one. I don't think we've ever seen such an epic dump of players. Collins, Parker and Dorsey were clearly signed just to make the salaries work on this deal.

There is no way we can let him give up Smush Parker, I still feel like he's got superstar potential - The delusional Lakers homer.

Courtney Lee definitely hasn't played like a scrub in his 35 starts this year.

Lee is the one thing holding this up for me. There's probably a legit argument that Lee for Diaw is basically even, or close enough. Not sure we can let a 1st go in here, even though it looks like the last pick in the 1st round, it's still a 1st in a super deep draft. I dunno, not an auto-reject based on those two things alone but Lee is solid. Marvin for Diaw is probably fine too.
Honestly. I would let any of these 3 things pass.
Marvin for Diaw - Accept Lee for Diaw - Accept 1st for Diaw - Accept
All 3? eh. Probably no game-changers anywhere here but I don't really like it.

I accept, I just think it's a messy trade and it make me think there should be a rule about signing players just to trade them.

Yeah I agree, it's basically just Williams + Lee for Diaw. And I don't think Diaw should be an 80 anymore to be honest and I like Lee a lot. But it doesn't seem TOO bad at all if it fits the goal for both teams.

Diaw is an 80 because he's a big that can shoot the three, I highly doubt that his other big man stats are nearly as inflated. But these games almost always take 3 point as a large percentage of the overall compared to something like stamina which might barely affect the overall

He is nowhere near is Phoenix Suns days and he is pretty old now.

Yeah, IDK he is a really important piece of the San Antonio Puzzle though, he may not get major minutes to throw up huge stats but I don't think that team is at the top of the west if they didn't have him. He's so unique. He reminds me of Spencer Hawes quite a bit.

For sure, he was one of my favorite Suns on the epic team that SHOULD of made it past the Lakers. I was rooting for them that season.

I agree with everything you said Walt but Diaw, hopefully, will really help my team spread the floor and get some separation from your T-wolves!
