It's the Atlanta side I'm worried about, Essentially gave up a star at what is arguably the most shallow position in the NBA right now and a PG averaging 16 & 7 THAT HE HAS BIRD RIGHTS TO for a draft pick. That pick better turn out to be a god damn all-star. *Totally fair though, cause All-Star Big-Men are cancers.

With the players Washington is getting it will effect his draft pick, if the pick wasn't his own and from another lottery bond team I would say it's fair but with the players he gets it will most likely end up in the late teens. In my opinion Horford is worth a mid lottery pick (somewhere between 5 to 10)

I agree and would like to see you nominated for GM of the year. That's probably sarcasm huh? Partially, but since your trade constitutes a valid transition then yeah you should be. Also, I hope you know you aren't to blame for this in the slightest. I know you and Atlanta worked on this deal for a while and he accepted it....I just think the TC should step in.

But the trade will also affect Atlanta's draft pick, increasing it's value.

What a steal for the Wizards! Incredibly lopsided in my opinion, basically the Hawks trading their team away for a potential late lottery pick.
Who knows though, the Wizards could continue to lose and it could still end up as a top 5.

So basically if WAS just didn't get Teague the trade would be fine? Then why don't they do that?

I really like Teague, he's gonna be one of my targets during free agency this summer.

IDK why he included Teague to be honest, that's just some kick ass negotiation by T-Mac I suppose. He definitely could have got the deal through if Jay-Z wouldn't have included Teague. IDK man.

Instantly trading your best assets will show you're not committed. In the past new GM's have often arrived, destroyed teams, and then left an empty shell of a team behind them. This damages the health of the entire league and as such we have 5 Trade Committee members, 3 of which must accept any trade you submit before it is allowed to pass. Just one last jab and I'm through ragging on this trade, emphasis on that first line. Sorry Ian, but this is what really made me hate the way that trade went through.

Blah. I said I was done with raging here, but it just scares me that you guys might actually go out of your way to justify accepting this trade by handing Atlanta a top free agent.
I could see an Eric Gordon type pick-up as realistic - young guy looking to prove himself by going to a team where he's pretty much top dog, but can you really see a proven star excited to join a team that's headlined by recent lotto picks?

You are one of the best teams in the east if you pull off the trade with Toronto, so it's pretty obvious you raped Atlanta like 15 of the GM's said in this poll.
