The Spurs have been shopping Tristan before the osfa trade line. We were looking for Tristan to produce for us but he didn't fit what we had in mind. He has a player option after the season and most likely would leave anyways. He was promised a starting role but he didn't fit our system. We wish him the best and we welcome Gerald to our team.
The Spurs accept this trade.

You don't think you could get more for TT?
I'll accept though.

You don't think you could get more for TT? I'll accept though. If you consider how Thompson's deal is structured - it doesn't sound as bad

Over in the IRL Cavs blog, they are talking about only offering him a 3 year 12 million dollar contract after this one is up.

Well, don't like this trade but it's hard to reject it, not enough bad there.
I'll accept b/c there just isn't enough here to reject.

Sorry next trade that gets submitted. Haha Jeremiah. Maybe all of our past Rejects have added up, and people finally are submitting better trades! Thing with this trade is, it's not necessarily a really bad trade by itself, but really, who are the Spurs building around? No FA's want to go to a team with nothing there...very rarely anyway. Also, they are already over the cap next season, even after this trade...just pretty rough. Why not keep the young guy locked up for awhile? At least he has talent and potential even if he does have flaws. Right now their "core" is: 77 Andray Blatche 78 Channing Frye 77 Gerald Green 76 Arron Afflalo 76 Jose Barea Other players signed through at least next year: 79 Al Harrington 80 Mike Miller (probably picks up his 6.6 Million Option next season) 79 Tayshaun Prince 75 Josh Childress 69 D.J. White This is full of one legit starter (Afflalo), about 4 guys who are back-end starters on mediocre teams/6th men on most good teams (Blatche/Frye/Green/Barea...Prince?) and back end bench guys or guys who shouldn't be in the league (Harrington/Prince/White.) Miller is his own guy, very sporadic, probably just a regular bench guy. I know JR has admitted his mistakes and wants to do right by this team, and now he only has about 4-11 million (depending on Afflalo's option) locked up after next season, but I just don't like it, that's all. It's just a smelly trade. But smelly doesn't equal reject!
