Trading of draft picks is allowed up to a maximum of four years in the future. Picks may not be traded in consecutive years.

I was aware of the Millsap contract, which basically meant that the deal couldn't process till the 15th of December in the league year. I wasn't aware of the picks though. I was more than happy to trade Millsap for some late round 1st's
