LMA is having too good of a season for myself to ignore creating this discussion
Current rating: 86 Suggest rating: 89
23.9 PPG / 11.4 RPG / 2.8 AST / 1.0 BLK / 1.8 TO / 0.8 STL
46.6 FFG% / 82.1 FTA%
Having a career year while being the number one option on a team that will be making the playoffs
Compared to Love who has a rating of 89, LMA's numbers aren't up to par. Yet LMA is leading his team to a winning record (Of course though while having a better cast of players around him)
Thoughts?

I would argue that Kevin Love is better. He keeps his rebounding up even while playing with a better rebounder than Alderidge's center, he has a floor stretching 3 point shot at a good percentage for a big, and he is a better outlet passer. Lamarcus Alderage is about the same level of defender as Kevin Love but produces more blocks and steals. If he was playing with a PG who could shoot even a mid ranger to keep people from just packing the paint against him Kevin Love would average even more points.

89 sounds about right to me, but I think Kevin Love should be rated as a top rebounder in the league and he never will be, even though he actually is in real life, so what do I know?

yup i agree with 89, imagine if the rumors from the off season were right about him going to the Bulls. Him and Rose, yikes.

I don't think he's as good as Kevin Love personally. I think if you swap the players, and Kevin Love had the impressive win percentage, we wouldn't even be talking about boosting Lamarcus. I think their win/loss ratio is more about the team that's around them, including management, than about the two players themselves.
I wouldn't go higher than an 87 for LMA. I think if he played in Minnesota the Timberwolves would be worse than with Kevin Love.

Consensus so far seems to be an 89!
Love and LMA are 1a and 1b for the top Power Forward IMO
