Such a weird situation, if he somehow were to come back and be productive again I think we should be quick to bump him up, BUT I am not holding my breath on him.
78 works for me as well right now.

I'm going to take Bynum down to a conservative 80 for now, just because it's absurd that he's 86. He's going to be coming off the bench for Indiana, he's not as good as Roy Hibbert and he's only rated an 81.
We should wait and see how Bynum performs in Indy before really judging him. By the sounds of things, the managerial staff in Cleveland are a bit of a joke and that's bound to have had an impact regardless of the shit Bynum's putting himself through.

Bynum right now is whatever Greg Oden is. They should both be about the same. At least Oden is back and playing...

I think he's proven enough that he will never be a starter for any team more than a few games per season. He's def a backup now. But he's better than Oden at this point. 75 works for now.

I think he is between a 75 and an 80. He still shows flashes of his old self. I just think the desire for him isn't there anymore. There's no desire to play when it will cause him pain. And a lot of big men have made there name's in this game with desire alone. I mean, look at me, I'm a 6'6 power forward. Sure I never won a ring, but it wasn't because I didn't grab every rebound possible.
Anyways, I think he is a 77. I wish there were a way to increase a players efficiency, reserved for mainly role players that play exceptionally well with limited minutes. There's a lot of guys in the NBA who play well on limited minutes, either because they can't handle 40+ or because their team doesn't ask them to. I feel like D-Wade will be falling into this category in another year or so.

I agree with and 80 for Bynum, but on a side note I think the answer to JR's dilemma might be to raise Oden to 80 as well!

Torn on this...I'd like to wait a little longer. If he was still rated as a great player in the 86 range like he was earlier this season I'd drop him like a rock to the 78-80 range...but since he's already an 80 I'd keep him there for now.
80

I feel that as a Cavs fan I have to comment on this as I got a bit more time to watch him this season than most probably. The effort Bynum made to get back on the court was admirable however his touch was gone, he had no lift left. When he realized it wasn't easy anymore he just moped. If I remember correctly from the Cavs the blog article the Cavs were something like 10points worse both on offense and defense while Bynum was in. Without Bynum the Cavs record is like 19/21 that is with Spencer Hawes who is rated lower than some you are proposing rating Bynum.
I say that Bynum is a 71, he destroyed this team. If we had started the season without him and our team had the time to gel we would be approaching 39-42 win season. I find it no coincidence that Indiana has struggled even more now that Bynum has been signed.
