Warriors Trade
81 - Goran Dragic - $7,231,000 - $7,529,409 - $7,909,090 - $8,521,000 - $9,458,309
71 - Tyler Honeycutt - $809,875 - $884,293
70 - Jordan Williams - $762,195 - $884,293
Contract of A.J. Price - $1,000,000 - $1,110,000
Salary Totals - $9,803,070
Lakers Trade
*78 - Omer Asik - $8,208,000 - $9,110,000 - $9,600,000 - $10,000,000 - $11,000,000
70 - Josh Selby - $762,195 - $884,293
Salary Totals - $8,970,195
Trade works under the 125% rule.
*Omer Asik's projected rating after increase.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Since I drafted Michael Carter-Williams he will be my backup PG so I don't have much need for Dragic at this point. I lost Kenneth Faried in the Iguodala trade and adding Asik will help fill one of the spots currently open on my front line.
Asik is a good low post defender and rebounder and I feel like his skill set will compliment our current roster very nicely. By adding Asik and Iguodala, I feel like my team has gotten much better defensively, something that was sorely lacking this season in Golden State.
Our top priority in the off-season is still to resign Al Jefferson and I don't feel like this move does anything but help us with that. Asik is not being brought in for his offensive game which would still allow for Jefferson to go be our go to low post scoring threat.
This trade will also free me up an additional $1.3 million for free agency which will help in adding a few more pieces to my roster. I plan on letting Josh Selby walk by not picking up his team option.
I accept.
