Kedrick Perkins is currently an 80.
For comparison's sake, Joakim Noah and Marc Gasol are 83's. Javale McGee is a 77, Drummond is a 76, Omer Asik is a 78, Hibbert is an 81, Birdman and Pekovic are 78's.
Perkins is clearly on the tier below the league's best centers.
Suggested Rating change: 74

Birdman should not be a 78; I would agree with Perkins; not sure he's fallen that far 75-76

He's clearly not an 80...I'd just say 75 myself.

75 here also. Kendrick was a liability last playoffs.

Leave his defensive stats and lower his offensive ones. He's always been an offensive liability. If you can't get easy shots while 90% of the opponent's D is focused on Durant then you have a problem. I could shoot a better % than him with KD drawing attention. Honestly I don't know what it is, it's like he got to OKC and just lost the ability to make a layup. His D-Rating is pretty consistent still though, so I would say lower his inside shooting and midrange shooting as well.
75 for me assuming he is pretty much all defense.

Woah are you guys serious? Thunder are clearly better with him than without him. He's still a big body who is decent at defending.

Yes Barber, we are serious. His D ratings should probably still be decent (not elite or anything but good), but his offense is very bad. Overall I agree with Jeremiah and stick with my 75 from before. Not like 75 is a bad rating.

He's still a big body who is decent at defending. 79 Kendrick Perkins is in every one of the Thunder's worst +/- lineups. From SI: OKC’s first unit includes two bona fide superstars (Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook) and a star-type (Serge Ibaka), and yet the starting five posts a net rating of minus-10.2, a terrible output that you would expect to see from a conference bottom-feeder. Surprise, surprise: Perkins’ minus-.5 net rating is among the Thunder’s worst, and OKC enjoys a plus-10.4 net rating when Perkins is off the court. The All-Atrocious Team can’t ignore the clear-cut difference Perkins is making.

He has a lower PER than Tyshawn Prince, on second thought maybe I change him to a 72 for me.

It's the type of thing I could see Josh writing sarcastically. Perkins is honestly so bad. He's still a average defender but he is a clear liability on offense. I'll give him a 74 and that might be generous.

I'm not being sarcastic here. I realize Perkins gets a ton of hate, but he is still the starting center for the best team in the western conference. He also won a championship as the starting center of the Boston Celtics.
Anyway, the Thunder are 0-3 this year with Perkins out of the lineup. Maybe a 79 is a bit too generous on my part, because, admittedly, he lacks certain offensive skills. But still, I don't think he's as useless as you guys are making him out to be.

Yeah but those games also coincide with Westbrook's return and the Thunder's growing pains to adjust to that. He is shit on too much, IMO, and is a very decent defender against the league's 'bullier' big-men, but not deserving of an 80. 77 for me.

He's barely the starter dude, he averages 19 minutes a game. He's one of those "Starters" a rookie has taken 15 minutes away from him. EDIT: I'll be watching the Cavs game. I'll report back on what I think.

0-4 Very poor defensive outing from the Thunder... Hawes with a lot of easy chances down low. Not saying he's a superstar, but there's a lot of smart people in the OKC front office, and they've kept Perkins on the team for a reason.

Those plus minus's aren't bullshit though. The Cavaliers really have the Thunder's number, I'm pretty sure they have a winning record against them since they've gotten Kyrie (fact checking) 3-1 against OKC since the 11-12 season. So this doesn't really mean anything honestly.
