I accept I'd much rather have a PG like Chris Paul then a scoring wing Like Carmelo Anthony. Also with the last NY gm trading away Lin I was left with Baron Davis and Mike Bibby for point guards, and I don't see either of them as more then stop gaps for the position at this point in their careers.

I accept also.
I have more PG's on my roster than the rest of my division combined (almost).
I will swing Chauncey Billups over to the starting PG and really not lose all that much but I will gain a lot at the SF spot.
I had several conversations/offers for Paul but this really seemed to be the one that was the best for me as well as the other team (since NY had no true starting PG).

Wow, this is a trade that can make or break a franchise. I think the biggest question here is if LAC is getting enough back for CP3. Although I'm not the biggest Melo fan he is a good return, I consider the rest of the deal is insignificant/salary filler so I won't go there. LAC's reasoning for making this trade was so he could clear up his glut of PGs, personally I'd rather keep CP3 and deal away the other PG's but nonetheless this deal isn't reject able do I'll accept

I accept pretty fair, even, and blockbuster worthy trade

I hate this trade. I think it's completely unrealistic. The idea of 'Melo wanting to go to the Clippers, or the Clippers wanting to trade CP3 is just absurd in my opinion. In terms of fairness, the trade is fair, but that's not the only thing to think about. I reject but it doesn't matter. I think I need to make a committee of five so we at least have longer, more in depth discussions before franchise altering trades like this are passed. Trade reluctantly passed.

Ian while I respect your opinion of trades needing to be realistic as well as fair I think their needs to be a little leeway with that. The people that are members of this league aren't their teams GMs in real life and their for have different opinions making for possible unrealistic trades. And as for Melo not wanting to go to the Clippers this isn't the same situation he was in while playing for Denver and demanding a trade, he's locked into a 4 year deal and can't threaten to opt out of his contract if he's traded to a team he doesn't like.
