What a season Kyle Korver had this year for the hawks. The last time he put up numbers like that was back in 2005- 2007 with the 76ers.
He avg 11 points per game, 2.8 3's, 4 reb, 2, ast, shooting 46.1% from the field. Right now he is ranked a 72, and with the thread of JJ Redick going around 76-78 overall, i think Korver should be around the same? His number don’t lie this year with the hawks.
what do you guys think?

I would go no higher than a 75 for sure...

I could see something in the 74-76 at very most, so I'll just say 75.

Just wanted to see what you guys think? Korver(75) vs Klay Thompson(79) Korver this year 12pts, 2.9ast, 4.0Reb, 92.6%FT, 47.2 3p%, 47.5%FG Klay 18.4pts, 2.2ast, 3.1Reb, 79.5%FT, 41.7 3p%, 44.4%FG yeah he scored more points than Kyle but overall wouldn’t you guys say Korver is the better option based on these numbers? Korver has now had solid back to back season with Atlanta and we all saw how he was during the playoffs. I'm not trying to say because he had great playoffs we should increase him. I am just comparing him to a player in the league that basically does the same thing he does. If Klay stays at a 79, I say Korver should be a 79 – 82 based on these numbers

Korver isn't as versatile as Klay. He can't create hi own shot off of the dribble or on post ups which Klay is really good at both. Korver is simply a spot up shooter who goes off screens, and he may be the best in the league at it. But Klay's ability to run the offense through himself is really invaluable. When there are no other playmakers on the floor Klay is the superior option so I think he should be rated higher. I think Korver should go to a 77 but not even with Klay.
Also I see a lot of people dismissing bigger point totals when the object of basketball is to score points so we have to take that into consideration. There are a lot of guys who can shoot a basketball in the league but not too many who create and score at will.

I dismiss the guys who score inefficiently personally, if it's really inefficient AND they take a ton of shots, that's bad stuff for me. The other object is to not allow your man to score, and I think we don't pay enough attention to the guys who play legit defense (as opposed to just existing on defense). Anyway, High-Volume - Low-Efficiency scorers should not get that much credit IMO.

That's true but Klay scores pretty efficently and its much much easier to shoot a higher % when you don't have to create the shot. I think we need to account for efficiency but also the role in the offense.
Sport up shooters are always going to shoot a higher percentage than playmakers but that doesn't make them better scorers.
I mean who deserves more credit, the guy who creates 5 post up opportunities for himself and hits 2 of them or the guy who stands in the corner and hits 3 of his 5 wide open shots without moving. Im not trying to say Korver isn't great but he just isn't as good as Klay.

Korver should shoot 46-50% from 3 in the sim. If he's doing that he's fine. If not bump his 3pt some more.

I'm not arguing about Klay, you just said how points get ignored sometimes...I was saying I only ignore it from inefficient players. I like Klay.
