I've called this press conference today to announce my client, Paul Millsap, has made a decision on where to play next season.
The terms of the contract are:
Year 1: $18,975,880 Year 2: $17,095,388 Year 3: $15,401,250 Year 4: $13,875,000 (PO) Year 5: $12,500,000 (TO)
Total: $77,847,518
Paul will take his talents South?? to play with the...
HOUSTON ROCKETS
This was by far our toughest signing to date. There were several great teams (a few playoff teams) that made extremely great arguments for why Paul should come to their teams. A lot of contracts were exchanged and numerous phone calls between owner, player agent and player. But in the end Paul liked the chance to take his talents to "Space City".
Paul also wanted to convey his thanks to each and every team that sent offers. All the owners were fantastic and treated him as part of their teams.

The Houston Rockets are extremely happy that Paul has chosen to sign with our team.

This was an excellent signing. Pairing Gasol with Millsap will be a nice front court in the west.

I thought he was getting a lot. A little more than I thought he'd get. But it's a smart contract. Money is reversed. Good job Otis!

Millsap got more money than Josh Smith Just in year 1, but only because Houston chose to give him a decreasing contract. In year 5 Smith will make like 27 M and Milsap will make like 12 M!
