Phoenix SunsEric Gordon has signed with the Phoenix Suns! 2013/14: $9,000,000 2014/15: $9,990,000 2015/16: $11,088,900 2016/17: [teal]$12,308,679[/teal] 2017/18: [teal]$13,662,633[/teal]
Total: $56,050,212 Eric has been the most sought after Shooting Guard this off season and, like other shooting guards, the Bucks came closest to signing him, failing at the final hurdle primarily because Bradley Beal would compete for playing time and assurances that Beal could be moved weren't enough to dissuade Mr Gordon from signing with his home town Suns. The Mavericks and Knicks both pursued Eric but fell short because Eric is young, not primarily interested in contending for a championship and in the case of the Knicks was not being offered the capped amount for his services. Other than the Suns, Indiana pursued Eric the most enthusiastically but bowed out when OJ Mayo was signed to the Pacers instead. Eric is thrilled to go back to his roots in Arizona and thanks the Suns for the fervent pursuit of his services!

Did the fact that Phoenix attempted to trade for Eric Gordon play any role in the decision at all?
