Danilo needs to stay healthy. I think he can have a great season if he stays healthy, especially as he will be looked to score more in Denver. I'd give him an 82 or so. I think he can be pretty good.

Danilo is an 81 IMO. I agree he needs to go up from a 79, but I'd put him similar overall to like parsons who I think I said should be around an 81 again.
Also, Bleacher Report, really? One of the least-respected sites for analysis out there.
And, once again, the fact Batum had a wrist injury this season, mostly played through it, and still put up what he did is actually a factor in his favor. He played through probably the worst injury you could play through as a basketball player, and still did well.
That's all I'm going to say at this point. I've been a Gallinari fan since his rookie year btw, I like him a lot, I just think he's not on par with Batum.
You're also leaving out that Gallinari averages just about 1 steal (just under probably) and half a block a year, while Batum averages a steal (just over) and a block (just over).

Hahaha no way on the Kobe thing. Do you see me asking for a 90+ for Batum? Get real man. I dunno why people think I'm irrational with the guys I support. I simply state facts, then state my opinions. The reason I acquire players is b/c I like them, that's just how I am. I do a lot of research and play fantasy basketball and if I like a player, I like to think there is a good reason for it. Then, if I see their in-game stats are way off from their real-life performance, or their rating looks significantly lower than similar real-life players, I bring that up as well.
I dig into #'s, I dig into the ratings throughout the whole league, and post facts, then give my opinion. I basically get punished for providing the most facts possible, people think I'm a whack-job, but whatever. I'm just doing my best to get these players at the correct ratings.
#1 - I agree they are similar. I have one at an 83 and one at an 81. That's not a crazy difference.
#2 - You are using career stats and ignoring trends, like how Batum is getting more mpg lately than he did early in his career. This past year he had like 1.2 steals and 1.2 blocks. That would be .3 more steals and .7 more blocks a game. Couple in more assists, and there we are at two points.
Identical? I just don't see it man. You are ignoring things and talking up other things but how are they identical? They are SF's? Ok. I think they have different styles and Batum is a better defender, but I give Gallinari props for his effort on D most of the time, I used to love watching him with the Knicks going up against some of the best scorers in the league. He'd get burned plenty but he tried and didn't back down.

If the stats Billy posted are accurate for both players, and I assume they are, I think you MIGHT be able to say Batum deserves to be a point higher than Gallinari.
Stats IRL: 16.2PPG/2.5APG/5.2RPG 41% FG + Batum's Stats IRL: 16ppg/3.7APG/5.6RPG (Taken directly from Walt's thread) 42% FG
(G +.2 PPG, B+ 1.2 APG, B +.4, B+1ish FG%)
1.2 assist is sort of a big deal, and like Walt said Gallo is a little better in blocks and steals. However, I think Batum people jumped the gun on Batum's rating just a little bit, injuries are a part of it Walt, and he should not be an 83. The question then becomes, do two wrongs make a right? I say no and vote to give Gallauari and 82 rating.

I think I agree with Vlade on the part that we may have jumped the gun in giving Batum an 83. The three forwards in question are probably best at an 81-82 range.

I'll give him an 81-82. He's a solid starting SF and he can catch fire offensively. He's nothing special though.

82. A solid starting SF that has a very well rounded offensive game along with a pretty decent defensive game. Really enjoyed all that videos especially that behind the back pass!

82-83. He's a very solid on offense, good passing and shooting. Big part of the offense until he went down
