I've called this press conference today to announce my client, Josh Smith, has made a decision on where to play next season.
The terms of the contract are:
Year 1: $18,000,000 Year 2: $19,980,000 Year 3: $22,177,880 Year 4: $24,617,358 Year 5: $27,325,267
Total: $112,100,425
Josh will take his talents West to play with the...
SACRAMENTO KINGS
Vlade Divac and the entire Sacramento Organization rolled out the red carpet for Josh. There were multiple conversations with ownership and a couple of visits to Sac-town. Josh felt they really showed him a good time and made him feel right at home.
Josh also wanted to convey his thanks to all the teams that sent offers. All the owners were fantastic and treated him as part of their teams.

I did a little happy dance in my kitchen once I found out this news. First of all, Mr. Wilkins did an outstanding job as Mr. Smith's agent and earned him more than enough money. Props to Mr. Wilkins for displaying leadership, poise, and endurance during this process.
While I will be busy trying to find my starting center, filling out my roster, and trying to make moves to put the Sacramento Kings in the best position moving forward, I would like to take this time to welcome Mr. Smith to Sacramento. All the players under contract right now wanted Josh Smith, but none more than Damian and Russ. Right now, we possess a trio, or as I like to call them "the Trio of Kings", that can play with the best of them. Think about it, just naming a few off the top of my head.
LAC: Melo, Blake, Parker
DEN: Harden, George, Irving
GSW: Howard, Iggy, Curry
MIA: Lebron, Wade, Amare?
CHI: Paul, Gasol (no pun intended), Noah
POR: Duncan, Wall, Aldridge
I really think Westbrook, Smith, and Lillard fit in with the best of them. Also, I really think we are a top 4 or 5 in the west, but man our division will be tough with Golden State adding Dwight and the Clippers adding Manu. I look forward to the challenge and am sooo happy this moment finally came! Honestly, this moment constitutes the reason why I traded Barnes and Waiters in that deal to the Nets, and it turns out my gamble paid off!
This moment also proves to be a big one for the city of Sacramento. This franchise also moved to Seattle because, let’s face, it has sucked since Chris Webber left. Now, I hope the Kings can bring hope to a franchise and a state that is in turmoil right now. We look forward to competing for a championship in the near future, and hope our fans will enjoy the ride! Once again, we are so happy that you, Josh Smith, are coming to Sacramento! LOB CITY!
