Houston Rockets Coming from very reliable sources within the Houston Rockets front office, the Rockets are preparing to try and make a big run at the top free agents in this years upcoming free agent class. Houston selected Victor Oladipo from Indiana with the 1st overall pick in the D5 draft and still have several 1st round picks in this draft. Houston sources tell me that they are looking to move the rest of their picks for future draft picks to keep their salary totals down as much as possible. My sources tell me the Rockets top priority is to bring in free agent center Dwight Howard and pair him with either free agent point guard Deron Williams or Chris Paul. The Rockets have around $40 million in cap space which would be enough to offer two max deals. Houston could possibly be an attractive destination for Howard and Paul or Williams but something tells me the Knicks, Bulls, and Thunder will have something to say about their franchise players walking out the door. All three of those teams have enough cap to resign their respective players this off-season. Don't know if Houston will be able to pull this off but, things are shaping up for an exciting off-season in D5, that's for sure.
