THE PHOENIX SUNS TRIBUNEHello, Phoenix fans from all over the world! Here at The Suns Tribune, we will give you all of the latest news about your Suns! GAME TIMEYour Suns lost the opening game of the seasons to the Dallas Mavericks at home 94-84. Despite double-doubles by both Channing Frye (18 Pts, 10 Reb) and Grant Hill (14 Pts, 11 Reb), 19 points by Nash, and an additional 10 rebounds by Marcin Gortat, your Suns fell to the Mavericks by 10 points. A third quarter collapse is easily seen by many as the main reason, as your Suns just failed to score, only adding 8 against Dallas' 23. The Suns finished the game only shooting 10% from long range. OTHER NEWSYour Suns finalized a trade that sent Markieff Morris, Sebastian Telfair and this year's first round pick to New York in exchange for Jeremy Lin, Landry Fields, Toney Douglas and Jared Jeffries. This trade ensures your Suns will have a pass-first point guard for years to come. We caught up with new GM JP Inawat for comment, "I feel like we made a very good trade moving forward. We acquire Jeremy Lin for the long-run and we can use this season to train him under Steve Nash's wing. And Landry Fields is a great bonus." Asked about trading away the first round pick, he responded "We are not interested in tanking and settling for a disappointment season. We're building a contender, not a head-scratcher." Lin and Nash are reportedly getting along fine and went out to lunch earlier today. And that's the first issue of the Phoenix Suns Tribune!

Espn: Will Steve Nash remain with the Suns long term? If so, what would his role be with Mr. Lin there?

Alvin Gentry: Oh, hey, man! How'd you get here? You came to visit all the way from Canada? You could have called first, at least. Haha! Well, it's not really my control. I'm just here to coach this team to victory. And besides, I'm not really sure what the new GM is planning for him.
