#2 Miami Heat vs. #7 Detroit PistonsMiami PPG RPG APG PG Steve Nash 86 15.7 3 7.3 SG Dwayne Wade 96 23.3 4.6 6.7 SF LeBron James 98 26.2 7.7 7.2 PF Metta World Peace 83 8.5 4.4 2.3 C Amar’e Stoudemire 87 12.6 8.9 1.8 6. Ersan Ilyasova 79 9.0 5.5 1.6 7. Derek Fisher 75 2.7 0.5 1.1 Detroit PPG RPG APG PG Brandon Jennings 83 17.3 5.5 3.3 SG Joe Johnson 86 22.9 4.4 6.0 SF Brandon Rush 78 15.9 5.1 2.7 PF Greg Monroe 79 14.4 9 2.1 C Emeka Okafor 82 10.8 10.4 1.1 6. Chase Budinger 78 3.6 2.1 1.3 7. Andris Biedrins 76 3.1 3.6 0.7 Advantage: Jennings, Wade, James, Monroe, Okafor, Miami’s bench What is going to be the case for the entire Eastern Conference Playoffs is can teams overcome Dwyane and LeBron. I think that Detroit has the better starters outside of those two. I would switch Okafor and Monroe. Monroe looks like he will be a better matchup with Amar’e and Okafor a better matchup with World Peace. The J Boys are going to have to score a lot and often in order to keep up with Wade and James. Rush is going to have to be on with his three point shot. Budinger is a scorer, and that is something Detroit is going to need if they want to pull the upset in this first round matchup. In the end, I think James and Wade are just too much.

I'll say 5, Miami can EASILY do it in 4, but you never know when a game could be an upset.
