#4 Indiana Pacers vs #5 New York Knicks
The Knicks–Pacers rivalry started in 1993 and quickly became one of the most bitter in NBA history. They met in the playoffs 6 times from 1993-2000, fueling a rivalry epitomized by the enmity between Reggie Miller and prominent Knick fan Spike Lee. Miller likened it to the Hatfield–McCoy feud,[1] and The New York Times said in 1998 that it was "as combustible as any in the league".[2]
The rivalry gave Miller the nickname "The Knick-Killer".[3][4] His clutch performances were frequently followed by jabs at Lee like the choke sign, adding fuel to the rivalry. The rivalry renewed during the 2013 NBA Playoffs in the Eastern Conference Semifinals, with Indiana taking the series 4 games to 2. (Real life rivalry brings two teams together in the sim league.)

C Samuel Dalembert 79 14.6 11 0.8
6. Michael Redd 80 13.5 3.4 5.1
7. Nate Robinson 78 6 1.4 2.1
New York PPG RPG APG
PG Derrick Rose 93 23.6 4.1 6.3
SG Iman Shumpert 78 10.8 3.2 4.9
SF Stephen Jackson 79 9.9 5.8 3.7
PF Markieff Morris 77 8.7 7 2.7
C Dwight Howard 92 29.2 12.7 1.8
6. Austin Rivers 71 5.6 1.3 2
7. Martell Webster 76 2.8 1.5 0.9
Advantage: Rose, Granger, Williams, Millsap, Howard, and Pacers bench.
This should be another good series. New York’s Derrick Rose and Dwight Howard, who is putting up MVP type numbers, take on the balanced scoring of the Indiana Pacers. Indiana has 6 guys averaging at least 12.5 ppg. Can those other 4 guys overcome the combination of Rose and Howard? Can Dalembert and Ginobili play good enough defense so that Rose and Howard do not score 40 each night? In the last game between these teams Howard was guarded by Nikola Pekovic and went off for 46 points and 12 rebounds. Because of the team effort, however, the Pacers were still able to pull out the victory. Who will get the upper edge in this one?
