1. Chicago
Chris Paul(22.3p 7.3a) - Richard Hamilton(8.2p) - Matt Barnes(4.8p) - Pau Gasol(21.9p 9.3r) - Joakim Noah(16.8p 10.3r) David West(17.1p 7.3r)
The Bulls have fought to the top of the pack and will take home court advantage into the playoffs. Lead by Chris Paul and Pau Gasol and the defense of Matt Barnes on the wing and Joakim Noah inside this will be a tough team to beat out, especially with David West coming off the bench.
2. Miami
Steve Nash(15.7p 7.3a) - Dwyane Wade(23.3p 6.7a) - LeBron James(26.2p 7.7r 7.2a) - Ersan Ilyasova(9p 5.5r) - Amar'e Stoudemire(12.6p 8.9r) Metta World Peace(8.5p 4.4r)
If there was a team that could beat out Chicago, this is it. This are a lot of assists required when you have Wade, LeBron, and Amar'e. Who better to take on that task than Steve Nash. Role player Ilyasova plays the four and Metta World Peace brings defense off of the bench.
3. Oklahoma City
Deron Williams(22.1p 6.9a) - Tyreke Evans(8.4p) - Kevin Durant(31.2p 7.4r) - DeMarcus Cousins(15.9p 9.3r) - Kendrick Perkins(9.5p 8.6r) Thabo Selflosha(5p 2.9r)
Best of the West. Durant is fighting for the scoring title this year. A more traditional point guard and more offensive power forward play along side Durant. Tyreke is having an offseason but look out for him to go off at any point. Perkins is a defensive and team leader. He is a tough guy that doesnt allow his team to get pushed around. Thabo Selflosha is a defensive stopper who will play the other teams scorer.
4. Indiana
Nate Robinson(6p 2a) - Manu Ginobili(17.5p 6a) - Danny Granger(22.7p 6.7r) - Paul Millsap(13.7p 9.2r) - Nikola Pekovic(10p 6.5r) Michael Redd(13.5p 5.1a)
The Pacers made a lot of trades at the end of the season. Do they still have enough to put up a fight in the playoffs? The offseason should be fun, as they will have the second lowest salary. Who will play along side Granger, Robinson, and Williams in 2013?
5. Portland
John Wall(17.1p 6.2a) - Jason Richardson(8.5p 5.8r) - Luol Deng(13.2p 7.3r) - LaMarcus Aldridge(20.1p 9.3r) - Tim Duncan(20p 10.2r) Jason Kidd(7.6p 4.6a)
Portland had a lot of PF's. They decided to trade David West for a starting SF, an area of weakness. A great combination of young and old with Wall, Aldridge, and Deng partnering up with Kidd, Richardson, and Duncan. A team to watch out for in the playoffs.
6. Boston
Rajon Rondo(17.1p 7.4a) - Ray Allen(16.9p 4.8a) - Paul Pierce(23.7p 7.0r) - Brandon Bass(7.5p 6.8r) - Kevin Garnett(19.9p 9.6r) Enes Canter(6.9p 6.3r)
A team that looks VERY similar to the real life Celtics. Not a lot of trades going on here. The Celtics were able to challenge for the Eastern Conference final, could they do it again? Will the Boston Three Party be able to make some noice in the playoffs?
7. LA Clippers
Tony Parker(15.2p 7.5a) - Ben Gordon(19.3p 5.1a) - Carmelo Anthony(25.1p 9.3r) - Blake Griffin(21.9p 9.9r) - DeAndre Jordan(9.1p 9.2r) Antwan Jamison(3.8p 3.2r)
There is a big three in LA. The Clippers have taken the city, behing the play of their big three Parker, Anthony, and Griffin. Gordon is a great scorer and two good role playing big men in DeAndre Jordan and Antwan Jamison. Is there anyone who can keep up with their scoring?
8. Denver
Kyrie Irving(21.8p 6.5a) - James Harden(27.9p) - Paul George(13p 4.7r) - Carl Landry(11.8p 8.5r) - Brook Lopez(21.4p 7.1r) Carlos Delfino(5.7p)
This has to be one of the best young teams out there. This is a super team in the current and future. Carl Landry is the only weak point in the starting lineup, and he is still a solid role model. Irving, Harden, George, and Lopez will rack up many All-Star game invites in their careers.
9. New York
Derrick Rose(23.6p 6.3a) - Iman Shumpert(10.8p 4.9a) - Stephen Jackson(9.9p 5.8r) - Markieff Morris(8.7p 7r) - Dwight Howard(29.2p 12.7r) Austin Rivers(5.6p)
Rose and Howard carry this team. Surround those two with solid role players in Shumpert, Jackson, and Morris and you have a team that can make the playoffs, but how far will they go? Howard is trying to will his team to a better record with his MVP caliber performances.
10. LA Lakers
Chauncey Billups(16.6p 6.8a) - Kobe Bryant(26.8p 5.4a) - Harrison Barnes(10.6p 5.3r) - Zach Randolph(18.3p 10.4r) - Omer Asik(4.7p 6.4r) Aaron Afflalo(4.4p)
Trades at the end of the season brought them Billups, Barnes, and Randolph. Will those three guys be enough to help Kobe in the playoffs. They have already lost LA. How far will this team be able to make it in the playoffs? Will they go to the Conference Finals or be a first round exit?
11. Dallas
Devin Harris(13.2p 4.2a) - Louis Williams(15.5p 5.5a) - Shawn Marion(9.7p 6r) - Dirk Nowitzki(29.9p 8.8r) - JaVale McGee(12.1p 7.5r) Evan Turner(5.1p)
An aging team trying to hang on to their previous years for a little time longer. Nowitzki is willing this team to where they are. He is getting solid help from Harris, Williams, and McGee. They have a future piece in Evan Turner that will help to bring in a free agent.
12. Brooklyn
Jameer Nelson(21.4p 7.1a) - Goran Dragic(13.8p 6.2a) - Danilo Gallinari(15.4p 7.1r) - Kenneth Faried(9.1p 8.5r) - Chris Bosh(22.8p 10.2r) Jared Dudley(15.4p 7.8r)
A lot of trades brought some talent to this team. The new GM brought his still and this team is not one to take lightly. Bosh and Nelson are the elder statesmen, but they are still young enough to play for a while. Faried's defense and toughness is needed with Bosh and Gallinari's all around scoring will lead this team to a possible Conference Final appearance.
13. Memphis
Mario Chalmers(17.9p 6.1a) - J.R. Smith(17.2p) - Ryan Anderson(20.8p 8.6r) - Anderson Varejao(9.8p 9.2r) - Nene(18.8p 9.8r) Trevor Ariza(11.3p 5.7r)
Pretty complete team. Each guy is capable of scoring and carrying the load on any given night. Anderson is their scoring leader, but he needs other guys to set him and J.R. Smith up on the outside for their three point shots. Varejao and Nene are real competitors on the inside. Chalmers is a steady leader capable of getting his own shot.
14. Phoenix
Ramon Sessions(17.3p 6.2a) - Caron Butler(12.1p 4.1r) - Josh Smith(19.1p 8.6r) - Lamar Odom (8.9p 6.6r) - Marcus Camby(14p 9.7r) Shannon Brown(4p)
Josh Smith. Can he be the leader? If he is going to be the leader, he has a good squad to lead. 4 players who really work hard. Keep their heads down and do their jobs. If Smith can become a leader, they will do well.
15. Detroit
Brandon Jennings(17.3p 5.5a) - Joe Johnson(22.9p 6a) - Brandon Rush(15.9p 5.1r) - Greg Monroe(10.8p 10.4r) - Emeka Okafor(14.4p 9r) Chase Budinger(3.6p)
Scoring guards and defensive big men. Monroe and Okafor a really good pairing to Jennings and Johnson. The J Boys are going to have to have the ball a lot. Monroe and Okafor do not. Rush is a good choice to play at the SF. He can allow the two ball dominant guards to do their thing and wait for the open threes.
16. New Orleans
Jeremy Lin(13.2p 5.5a) - Andre Iguodala(23p 5p 4.9r) - Gordon Hayward(8.9p 4.5r) - Glen Davis(11p 8r) - Marcin Gortat(14.7p 9.1r) Andrea Bargnani(13.5p 6.5r)
This team is one that will not compete for the top spot in the playoffs, but one to watch out for. They dont really have a star, just 6 complimentary players. Can that make a run in the playoffs, yes. How far will it lead them? That is up to Iguodala. Can he step into that star role?
17. Minnesota
Ricky Rubio(20.2p 7.2a) - Jamal Crawford(12.3p 5.3a) - Nicolas Batum(18.3p 6.3r) - Kevin Love(22.1p 9.7r) - Derrick Favors(6.6p 6.1r) Dorell Wright(4.4p)
Nice looking young team. Rubio and Love make an excellent combination when healthy. If injuries were in this game, what would they look like? Batum and Favors create a really good team with the two leaders.
18. Houston
Jrue Holiday(18.5p 6.4a) - O.J. Mayo(16.8p) - Kwahi Leonard(15p 7.6r) - Elton Brand(16.6p 9r) - Marc Gasol(17.5p 9.7r) Gary Neal(5.1p)
Another great young team. Another year, and this team will be chasing the best record in the West. Need to replace Brand. There are a lot of good power forwards in the upcoming free agent pool. They could also find someone in the draft. Holiday, Leonard, and Gasol are a great foundation to build on.
19. Utah
Raymond Felton(19.1p 6.1a) - Mikael Pietrus(1.6p) - Al-Farouq Aminu(2.3p) - Carlos Boozer(17.3p 9.5r) - Tyson Chandler(14.1p 9.6r) Boris Diaw(3.2p)
They have three nice players. With other teams having more complete lineups, it will be hard for these guys to compete.
20. Golden State
Stephen Curry(23.9p 6.5a) - Klay Thompson(16.2p 4.4a) - Linas Kleiza(8.3p 7.6r) - David Lee(17.8p 8.9r) - Al Jefferson(18.1p 8.3r) Jeremy Tyler(4.2p 5.9r)
The Splash Brothers are still together, and they have brought in a really good center. Can they secure Big Al for the future? If they can resign him, and with the additional year of experience for Steph and Klay they will be a nice team.
21. Philadelphia
Ty Lawson(17.8p 6.2a) - Vince Carter(12.7p 4.1a) - Gerald Wallace(14.2p 7.8r) - Rashard Lewis(16.2p 5.8r) - Andrew Bogut(11.8p 9.5r) Taj Gibson(7.8p 7.8r)
Ty is looking lonely in the city of Brotherly Love. Carter, Wallace, and Lewis are old and will need to be replaced before they lose too much value. Bogut is a solid center, if he can stay healthy. Two guys are a start to a team, what will be added to those guys?
22. Washington
George Hill(16p 5.1a) - Kevin Martin(23.5p) - Jeff Green(11.6p 5r) - Anthony Randolph(7.3p 5.5r) - DeJuan Blair(13.3p 9.8r)
Eric Bledsoe(12.9p)
A new GM came in and took control of this team. He has them on the up and up, and will be interesting to see what he can do. Hill is a really solid pg. Martin was a scorer, but has slowed down some. Can he get that back? Green is a borderline franchise player. Definitely need an upgrade in the front court. Randolph and Blair are good role players, but this team needs a strong center.
23. Milwaukee
Brandon Knight(9.1p) - Bradley Beal(14.8p 5.1a) - Chandler Parsons(11p 6.4r) - Anthony Davis(16.1p 9.7r) - Andre Drummond(11.4p 10r) Jose Calderon(13.6p 5.3r)
With a smart GM, this is a team to watch out for in the future. He has made smart moves that gave him a great young complete team. The good news is that he has a lot of cap space to bring in a high level free agent, or two, that will take this team to the top next season.
24. Atlanta
Greivis Vasquez(14.5p 6.1a) - Marcus Thornton(16.5p 3.4r) - Marvin Williams(20.7p 8r) - Al Horford(16.8p 8.7r) - Chris Kaman(10.8p 10.1r) DeMar DeRozan(4.2p)
Was great that they found a center to allow Horford to move back to his natural postion. Williams and Thornton are scorers. They know how to score and they carry their teams on a lot of nights. They are good on the inside with Horford and Kaman. Vasquez had a really good year this year, can he continue that. Why they didnt do better this year is a real question.
25. Sacramento
Damian Lillard(22.8p 7.1a) - Russell Westbrook(21.3p 6.6a) - Eric Gordon(14.6p 3.9a) - Ekpe Udoh(1p) - Johan Petro(.9p)
Danny Green(3.6p)
They have four guards who have a lot of talent. Other than that, they do not have a lot. Without big men, this team is not going to be able to make it far.
26. Cleveland
Kyle Lowry(14.7p 6.1a) - Randy Foye(13.3p 5.2a) - Wilson Chandler(16.5p 6.4r) - Byron Mullens(9p 6.6r) - Andrew Bynum(21.5p 10.3r) Jarret Jack(6.5p)
Chandler and Bynum are the headliners here. Lowry, Foye, and Mullens could be valuable parts of the team. They are really unproven though. Even though they are capable of scoring, will they be able to do more than what they have now? How will he get to the next level?
27. Orlando
Will Bynum(3.8p 2.2a) - Michael Kidd Gilchrist(12.7p 7.6r) - Michael Beasley(15.1p 6.7r) - Andray Blatch(5.8p 4.3r) - Jonas Valanciunas(4.5p 7.6r) Josh Childress(5.3p 5r)
This team could be in trouble. They have a lot of unproven players. MKG and Valanciunas are probably going to be around for a while, but what else can he add to this team to make them better? Blatche is a good rebounder and solid role player. Who is their leader?
28. Charlotte
Kemba Walker(16.2p 5.4a) - Kirk Hinrich(15.2p 6.6a) - Richard Jefferson(12.3p 5.9r) - Thomas Robinson(15.7p 9.2r) - Bismark Biyombo(13.4p 10.3r) Kenyon Martin(4.8p 4.5r)
Kemba, TRob, and Biyombo are the future for this team. The GM seems to be trying to fill in holes with Hinrich, Jefferson, and Martin. Needs to find some more youth to bring the team to the top. That will happen with all of the picks they have in the upcoming draft.
29. Toronto
Maurice Williams(12.4p 4.3a) - Monta Ellis(16.5p 4.7a) - Rudy Gay(17.3p 3.9r) - Serge Ibaka(11.5p 8.5r) - Roy Hibbert(16.5p 9.4r) Hakim Warrick(7.9p 6.9r)
Toronto did a lot of work at the end of the year to bring this team together. If this was the team at the beginning of the year, they would not be in this position now. Ellis and Gay are the scorers, while Ibaka and Hibbert form an outstanding young front court duo. Watch out for this team next season.
30. San Antonio
Jose Barea(14.2p 3.6a) - Leandro Barbosa(11.5p 3.7a) - Ed Davis - Al Harrington(13.8p 6.2r) - Channing Frye(6.8p 3.3r)
Wesley Matthews(7.7p)
This team is in trouble. They have a lot of large salaries, and some players who are looking for a star to play alongside. If they had some salary cap to bring in that All-Star this team would be in a great position. What will they do to become relevant again?
12. Brooklyn

Josh Smith. Can he be the leader? If he is going to be the leader, he has a good squad to lead. 4 players who really work hard. Keep their heads down and do their jobs. If Smith can become a leader, they will do well.
15. Detroit

The Splash Brothers are still together, and they have brought in a really good center. Can they secure Big Al for the future? If they can resign him, and with the additional year of experience for Steph and Klay they will be a nice team.
