He's a pretty bad rebounder for a center. That's definitely his biggest fault. But I'd give him and 84.

Yeah he definitely needs an increase. I was going to say Hibbert is an 81 and he's just as good, but maybe they both need boosts.

He's a pretty bad rebounder for a center. That's definitely his biggest fault. But I'd give him and 84. Just because I'm a Nets fan and Lopez always gets crapped on for rebounding... if you look at true rebounding percentage, Lopez is actually one of the top rebounders in the league. He spends his time boxing out and creating rebounds for other people, not necessarily grabbing them for himself. The Nets were tied for 2nd in the league in rebounding this year. That doesn't happen if your starting center actually sucks at rebounding. Lopez is an underrated defender (2.1 bpg) and rebounder. His PER is 5th in the league and the first among big men (him and Duncan are the only ones in the top 10). Basically, IMO, Brook Lopez is without a doubt the best center in the league. He can shoot jumpers, has an amazing touch around the rim, and plays defense surprisingly well. I'd rate him in the 86-88 range, just because big men are historically rated lower than guards in sim leagues.

What I looked up didn't really reflect what you're saying about his rebounding. He's only 86th in the league in total rebound rate The Nets as a team are 10th in total rebounding. Mostly because they're 4th in offensive rebounding, while only being 21st in defensive rebounding. They're good offensive rebounding is also primarily due to Reggie Evans and Kris Humphries who are 2nd and 25th respectively in offensive rebound rate. Those two guys grabbed 37% of the teams offensive boards despite only being role players. He is 5th in the league in PER which is a lot higher than I thought he'd be so that is fairly impressive. But PER is an offensively skewed stat and I'll definitely agree that he is one of the best offensive centers in the league, if not the best.

Nets 2nd in reboundingLopez boxes out 57.9% of the timeI like to call it the Jason Kidd effect... its a well known fact that Kidd's teammates used to let him grab rebounds so he could get triple doubles, essentially boxing out all the defenders so Kidd could fly in and snatch down garbage rebounds. Lopez does the same thing for the rest of the team. I can't find the stats on true rebounding rate but I'm positive I've heard it in a game before. I'll look around some more a bit later.

Ah that's cool. They're 28th in pace so all their raw numbers are skewed low. Interesting 2nd link too. Alrighty then, an 88 is definitely too high imo, but throw me down for an 85-86. Still favouring his offensive ratings a little.

That was enlightening. I've always wondered why his rebounding seemt sunk, that at least provides some explanation. I'd only put him at 84-85 though, leaning towards 85.

I would say 82. He is arguably a top 5 center, but the center position as a whole isn't too talented.

Considering context, I might have been a bit hasty in saying 85. I think he would be better at around 82-83.

82, 82, 82.5, 83.5, 84, 84, 85, 85, 85, 85, 85.5, 86
Averages to an 84.15, so let's go 84 for now.
