2013/14 Season Because it's impossible for D5 to have it's rookie draft before the real life rookie draft, we're going to need to take a break for a few months after this season so that we don't overtake the real NBA.
In the past I set up alternate "off season" leagues to compensate for the lack of action, to keep people interested - and also because it's fun to start all over again! and that's what I'm going to be doing again.
Come September, when we've finished our off season here, we'll get started at a different league that I'm currently setting up.
The alternate league will operate for only a few months on a restricted schedule (either a 29 game season or a really quick 82 game season that will bombard you with results) and we'll come back to it every time D5 needs to catch up to the NBA.

That sounds like a cool idea. Are you talking just a quicker season and using NBA team's current real life rosters?
Depending on how quick this season ends here and all of the playoffs it might not be that long of a break between our season ending and the actual NBA draft which is June 27th. But it would definitely be good for the period after free agency ends and there is some down time for a few months

Cool, it's a good way to not have a dead period in the off-season, and I also found D6 before the old D5 so hopefully each league can kind of feed the other with GMs.
Also, I claim the Raptors!

If we're claiming teams I'll take OKC

No we're not claiming teams yet Although I would quite like to allocate teams to GMs that will care about them more.

This is probably the first time anyone has ever said that, in all caps no less.

You know what, I have NEVER been the Spurs and this is probably their last run. If possible, I would like them.

I remember my epic DynastyLite OKC team; we were major, homie.
I'd want Utah or Atlanta if all of the teams listed by everyone else are unavailable.

I think Ian should randomly choose the teams for the GMs here that want to be involved.
