Current Rating: 79 Proposed Rating: 71
Stats: 6.3 points, 4.0 rebounds, 0.4 assists (0.4 turnovers), 0.7 steals, 1.1 blocks on 14 minutes per game. Splits: .469/.278/.795
It's time for us to give Jonathan Isaac a rating that reflects his post injury self. He isn't the same guy, and despite still having great defensive insticts and tools, but the injuries took away part of his athleticism, and on offense, he really doesn't offer anything anymore, he can't pass or dribble and he has terrible shooting splits. It's just time for an update, for a guy who's behind players like Gary Harris, Joe Ingles and even Caleb Houstan on the depht chart.

Spent last season still recovering from the knee injuries that stole the two full seasons before that from him, and has struggled a bit with health this season as well. The talent hasn’t disappeared to nearly the degree that you’re arguing though.
No one gives a fuck about per 36 numbers as far as ratings go, but as far as “guy who has been struggling with injury for four seasons straight and gets limited minutes as a result” goes, the fact his per 36 numbers are basically the best of his career (16/10 with 4.7 stocks) is telling that the player behind the injuries hasn’t completely evaporated.
Even still, he’s #11 in the league in D-EPM (+2.7) and his +1.3 EPM is still in the 81st percentile.
The role and production obviously aren’t there to justify keeping a top tier role player rating, but considering we live in a sim world where injuries aren’t as prevalent, punishing his skills too heavily when his health is still the primary issue feels off base as well.
As long as whatever build he gets continues to be an elite defender with offense that is good enough to keep him from being a net negative, I’m not too concerned about the number.
On the strength of his EPM I’m gonna vote 74.5

74 just because he isn't getting minutes, he's still very good defensively, obviously, but he can't be higher with those minutes
