LaVine has always been a player that has mostly focused on scoring during his time in the NBA, but as of 2024, he ranks 58th! in points scored per game. Last time he got SW came at the end of a deserved low end All Star season, but since then he hasn't been in the conversation, and has he approaches the middle of his 10th season in the NBA, he has still just won a single playoff game, not series, just 1 game. Which is a bit crazy when you think about it, all the variations of the Bulls with Zach LaVine in them, have won one playoff game. The same team that had 3 players that made the All Star Game between 2021 and 2022. So you just have to wonder, what excuse there was for a constant lack of anything resembling success, which with the under .500 Bulls being 11-9 without LaVine and 2-0 when he started on the bench, all the signs point to a common problem.

And when you are 23rd in minutes per game, and only 58th on the scoring list as a player who is more of a scorer than anything, with multiple questions marks about his defense, we have to ask ourselves what is he actually bringing to the table at the elite level to deserve it's 87 rating, with the answer being nothing. He is just a higher usage Collin Sexton as of 2024.
