Idea #1: The Josh Barber rule only applies to regular season free agency. Simply wait until off-season free agency is nearly complete so that other teams no longer have cap space. Then cut your player and re-sign him to a long term deal.

Then cut your player and re-sign him to a long term deal. This also applies to declining a team option on rookie deals. I’ve thought of doing that and re-signing them lol

Idea #2: Try to sign a player who isn’t on the FA list so that no one else knows to bid on him, and then act like it’s entirely normal and legal.

Idea #2: Try to sign a player who isn’t on the FA list so that no one else knows to bid on him, and then act like it’s entirely normal and legal. Specially do that by posting a public bid on the forum, so then really NO ONE could know to bid on him. Next level secrecy
