My man was coming back from off-season surgery. He's played 35 games.
First 17 - 21 minutes a game.
Recent 18 - 30 minutes a game.
In total agreement he might not be an 88 anymore but the decreased box score numbers are clearly a result of reduced playing time as he was recovering from injury, not to mention adjusting to one of the highest usage guards joining the team. Having one of his best efficiency seasons and best playmaking seasons, little changing in his per36 stats.

I'm generally persuaded by James' argument here (with a sprinkle of Scal to boot). It's a little early to decrease this far considering his mpg, per month, have gone 16-21-30-27. The last 2 months, he's looking pretty solid. I also don't want to judge only on his 12-game December, but he was 17-5-6 on 51/42/95!!?!?!?! plus 0.9s & 0.3b
That makes me hesitate to act too brashly.
I think 85 for now feels okay. Can even boost back up if he goes wild, or, maybe he settles at 84-85.
