Updated: see this post. Next season I will include player injuries as part of the league.
It just seems unrealistic that they are not included.
Back on the old D5 I remember when my franchise player, Deron Williams, got injured for 10 weeks halfway through the season and my team lost out on entering the playoffs by a mere 1 game. That's the kind of drama that injuries bring and, whilst it's negative drama, I think it's good to have it there nonetheless.

100% agree. Team depth is a non-factor without injuries. Things will be so much more interesting.

I honestly didnt notice that injuries werent able to happen.
Would injured players be able to be traded still? I know they allow it in real life (Barbosa for Jordan Crawford this year)

New Orleans: All this time and you never realized this? Just kidding.. But seriously!! Injuries def change the sim. More work for Ian for sure. This affects all teams, which is cool. I've been on the contending teams that have lost key players. It sucks but it is fair. Just imagine the Miami Heat with an injured James or Wade... I'm glad for the change but if you get burnt out Ian make sure you make the best decisions for you... Because you are the league!! Most importantly... If A team has an injury.. It's that's Gms responsibility to update depth charts before the next sim. Otherwise it's only fair Ian lets the computer update the depth chart.

That's pretty much the gist of it, thanks JR.
Jackie - you would still be able to trade injured players, but trades would not be able to be finalized until the injured player was fully healed - just because that's how the game behaves.

Sounds good! I didn't realize we didn't have injuries either but I'm still fairly new. Anything to make the league more realistic is fine by me though.

So I guess the Hardiness stat has/would have more value now? I personally love the dimension this would add in determining a player's value.

Hardiness ratings are shown on the player ratings spreadsheet. You're right that those former Blazers should be made of glass, lol.

Guys, sorry to be a pain in the ass, but I've decided to renege on this promise. I didn't realise, when I posted this, how much administration it takes to re-arrange every teams lineup whenever there's an injury in-game. It takes a LONG time, trust me. I don't have it in me. What I could do, however. Is incorporate real-life injuries into the game? Once a week I could read off of ESPN's Injury List and, if a player is listed as 'Out', then that means they're out for the week.

Yes, I think injuries should be apart of the league. However, you are pretty much the last hope for sim leagues and I do not want you getting overworked.

Really? Are there no others? I thought GMs were just doing a good job obeying the rules and not advertising other leagues, lol.

I don't know of any, and if others do exist I doubt they come from this same group. Case in point, if you go down I need to learn to play fantasy basketball or not do anything sim/fantasy related with the NBA. Ask the Legends Fantasy Basketball League, I really suck at fantasy basketball!
