Vote: New Trade Committee MemberDanny Longley's resignation has led to Bryan Colangelo doing the same so we're going to see another shake up in the TC! First of all let me take the time to also thank Mr Colangelo for his decade worth of service! Bryan's been a huge part of what makes this league successful and we couldn't have done it without him. Thankfully he's also sticking around in his capacity as GM of the Raptors so we'll still have him around! To replace him I feel like it would be good to have a league-appointed member of the Trade Committee. If you'd like to be a candidate for the new Trade Committee position please reply to this thread. The deadline for applications will be this Sunday 2nd July. After receiving all applications I will create a new thread in which we can all vote for who we feel would be the best replacement! Candidates:- Arvydas Sabonis- Andrei Kirilenko- Tom Izzo- George Gervin- Chauncey Billups- Shane Battier- Jared Montini

I'd like to hear new candidates answer a few questions for us voters, here's question number 1:
What do you plan doing about trades where money is involved? (For example the Jrue Holiday for Theo Maledon trade)

Thank you, however I'm not taking any questions at this time.
Next question.

I would like to apply for the job. I'm pretty actively online and would vote pretty fast. Used to do TC in D720 for few years although gave that gig at some point before the league ended. Probably quit due to arguing with Amare one too many times 😂
I would be chaotic neutral style. Everyone can do pretty much what they want (with some limits), so I would lean to accept always unless it's clear franchise ruining move for a poor franchise in a difficult spot, a new GM doing stupid stuff, or you flipflop between contending and rebuilding in monthly basis. But if a franchise with a lot of assets wants to make 1-2 shitty trades, I would let them. I would still let you know if I think your trade sucks though

Ladies and gentlemen, esteemed members of the Dynasty Five trade committee, and passionate fans of our beloved basketball sim league,
Today, I am honored to stand before you as a candidate for a crucial position on our trade committee. I firmly believe that our league's success lies in the balance between scrutiny and collaboration when it comes to player trades. While we must ensure fair and competitive gameplay, we should also embrace the spirit of healthy trade discussions, aiming to enhance the overall experience for all participants.
In the dynamic world of Dynasty Five, where strategies are devised, teams are built, and rivalries are born, it is essential that we uphold the integrity of our league while fostering an environment of excitement and engagement. I pledge to approach trade decisions with a level-headed mindset, respecting the principles of fairness and competitiveness without veering into extremes or unnecessarily restrictive measures.
My platform centers around the notion that scrutiny in player trades can coexist with an appreciation for the unpredictable nature of our league. We must carefully examine the impact of potential trades on team dynamics, roster balance, and long-term sustainability. It is our duty to ensure that each trade proposal undergoes thorough analysis and serves the best interests of the teams involved, all while adhering to the established rules and regulations.
However, I strongly believe that we should not stifle the spirit of creativity and strategic maneuvering that makes Dynasty Five so thrilling. Player trades are a vital part of the game, adding excitement, fresh dynamics, and allowing teams to adapt and evolve. It is this very essence of the league that we must preserve and encourage.
To achieve these goals, I will champion a transparent and collaborative trade committee. I firmly believe in involving team owners in the decision-making process, promoting open dialogue and constructive discussions. By embracing diverse perspectives, we can reach balanced and fair trade outcomes that benefit the league as a whole, while respecting the aspirations and ambitions of individual teams.
I pledge to foster an environment where the trade committee works hand in hand with the league's stakeholders. Together, we will ensure that each trade proposal is thoroughly evaluated, maintaining the competitiveness and integrity of our basketball sim league. Through open lines of communication and a commitment to fairness, we can create a platform that nurtures talent, encourages strategic thinking, and delivers an unparalleled experience for our passionate owners.
My fellow GMs and committee members, I humbly present myself as a candidate who understands the intricacies and excitement of Dynasty Five. I am not an extremist but rather a pragmatic advocate for responsible trade scrutiny. I firmly believe that by striking the right balance between fair evaluation and embracing the unpredictable nature of the game, we can elevate the league to new heights of excellence.
With your support, I will bring a steady hand, sound judgment, and an unwavering commitment to serving the best interests of our league and its devoted GMs. Together, we can navigate the challenges, celebrate the triumphs, and create a Dynasty Five that continues to captivate and inspire basketball enthusiasts worldwide.
Thank you, and may our shared love for the game guide us on this exciting journey towards an unforgettable future.

My totally legitimate candidacy is grounded in two principles: - All other candidates are spreading FAKE NEWS about how I would rule on things because they’re GINOs (GMs In Name Only) and don’t understand the complexities of trade emotions
- I will be a bulwark against the Commissioner’s attempts to pry into
all trade bribes legitimate trade negotiations that as TC member belong to me
Thank you for considering my glorious campaign for the TC

I would like to be a candidate for the open TC spot. I would retain my current spot and therefore have two votes. This is step one in my plan to assume all power in D5 win 12 consecutive championships.

I’d like to be added to the ballot. I am currently top 5 on the official Ethics Power Rankings. I was pretty lenient as a TC member in 720 as I think gms should have the freedom to make a move they think is best for them. I definitely am willing to reject trades if need as I did multiple times in 720. I am super active here so I will never go ghost during big trades and ignore the threads. I have the balls to be the first one to vote everytime if need be. A vote for me is a vote against Josh, so it seems like a no brainer

There's just over 90 minutes before the poll closes everyone.
Looks like it's a race between Sabonis and Montini!
