LAC Trades
72 Tony Bradley $2,900,000 $2,100,000
2023 1st round pick(#9)
Utah Trades 90 James Harden $46,525,194 $49,771,138 $53,017,081(PO) 2027 2nd via Utah
LAC can absorb the salary. I accept this deal. Absolutely destroyed me losing in the 1st round with my core of Tatum-Jimmy-harden. Losing round 1 fucking sucked and made me decide to take the Gervin approach by running 2 stars with more depth. Not only am I getting 9, but I also now have 20ish mil in cap space. Obviously I am not getting any big names, but I could add a ton of depth around Simons Jimmy and Tatum. The market on harden was as dry as it could be and this was the best return I could get after weeks.
We wish James Harden the best of luck in a city he definitely fits in better as well as Coach K. The negotiations were pleasant from start to finish. Now time to do some scouting 😅

The Clippers accept.
James Harden might not be a 1st thought of natural fit with us but getting a 90 rated player is incredibly hard to do in this league. I have tried to do so though FA and trades for almost a decade without success. This guarantees something we have not been able accomplish previously.
I really feel like putting 2 scoring combo playmakers next to each other will be amazing and help move LaMelo to the next step in his career.
Welcome James Harden to LA!

I don't even want to pretend like I'm thinking this through, I don't think a 90 should be going for this much.
It's the KD trade back then again, and IDK but if the value doesn't look good right now, maybe that means you don't trade him right now.
Reject.

Most teams wanted to take him for free as a salary dump. I only received positive value from 3 teams. This is an insane reject lmfao

There's no way James Harden goes for more than the #9 pick given his contract and age.

This reject is silly. Absolutely no reason for it other than "I don't like it..." Both GMs know exactly what they are doing.
Carry on gentlemen. Hopefully this one vote doesn't come into play.

I really don't know what to do with this trade, but pick 9 is coming up. It's probably true that this is about his value, which certainly says something about D5. I'm tempted to accept it just because Utah has a weird two timelines thing with Harden, Butler and Horford not really mixing with Tatum, who is the real franchise guy for the Jazz. So screw it, I accept. Maybe I'll be the only one on a dumb trade that gets rejected, or maybe others will see it similarly, it'll be up to them. I will be rejecting all Jayson Tatum trades though.

I'm just now fully realizing that the Harden contract posted is starting next year. So 3 more full seasons of that massive contract for a fading player. Even at a 90 that's close to a bad contract considering his age. As soon as he dips below 90 it's an albatross. Now...that may not happen for another year or two, so it keeps it in the passable realm. Plus both GM's have been here long enough.
I accept.

I accept.
I still think this will go down as a very bad deal for Utah unless whoever is picked at #9 has a surprisingly great career.
Having said that it's two veteran GMs who can live with whatever the consequences are.

This trade is passed and queued until salaries progress. Mike Krzyzewski Jared MontiniSince it involves the 9th pick I will change ownership over to Utah on the Rookie Draft thread but the rest of that admin will wait until salaries progress to next season.
