Lonzo will be returning to the Land of 1,000 Lakes to continue building the TWolves with Walt Frazier from the ground up with Cade, GTJ, and the rest of the young crew on a five year deal worth $120 MM. We had been waiting to see how some of the TWolves free agent pursuits would pan out -- specifically Bam Adebayo -- before making a final commitment, but given the financial security presented here from the TWolves we didn't want to miss out on this contract (especially in light of Lonzo's recent knee recovery setback).  

We want to take the time to thank the Knicks, Kings, Raptors, and Suns for also making inquiries or offers throughout the free agent process for Lonzo.

Year 1 (2022-23): $28,000,000
Year 2 (2023-24): $26,000,000
Year 3 (2024-25): $24,000,000
Year 4 (2025-26): $22,000,000
Year 5 (2026-27): $20,000,000


Total: $120,000,000
