Memphis Trade: 77 Gorgan Dragic $7,000,000 TyTy Washington(#21 rookie scale contact) 2023 Second(Detroit Pistons) 2023 Second(Memphis Grizzlies) Total: $7,000,000 Oklahoma City Thunder Trade: 80 Reggie Jackson $6,000,000 $5,200,000 Total: $6,000,000 It was always in consideration to flip Reggie Jackson, he doesn’t quite fit my timeline, so we thought we’d flip him to a team more goal appropriate, and I was able to cash in on the opportunity to pick up a top rookie, and extra second round pick. The original offer only contained the second round pick’s, but I quickly reminded Monty that both the Pistons, and Grizzlies project to be top ranked teams next year. We settled on TyTy Washington whom projects as a solid role player in the NBA, with upside for more, which is essentially equal worth to current Reggie Jackson. I personally had him a bit higher on my draft board, and think he can become an NBA starter. We’d be glad to add him to our young core(Reddish, Griffin, Kuminga, Wiseman, Primo, Isaac, Beauchamp, etc…) Monty Williams to accept Ian NobleBryan ColangeloDanny LongleyAlex EnglishWalt FrazierFor votes

Accept.
We respect Dragic, but he’s past his prime, and probably not fairly rated a 77 at this juncture. We also feel the second’s were expendable because they’re late picks, and the hit rate on those players is low, thus this became about TyTy. We like TyTy a lot, but realistically he isn’t going to help us this year, and probably not a whole lot the following year either. He has upside, but still has work to do on his game, while Reggie Jackson has essentially carved out a role as the third bucket getter on a playoff caliber Clippers team. Considering the talent, and contract, we felt it made sense. This gives us yet another quality player for our depth, and a competitor to Dinwiddle for the starting PG spot.

Accept. Great little flip by OKC. I also think it shows difference in value for a pick vs player. The 21st pick is way more valuable than TyTy Washington for some reason, even just a few weeks after the draft.
