I accept -- was looking for an upgrade in the frontcourt next to Anthony Davis, and I've got it in Poetl on a stellar contract to boot. Herb Jones ascension made Crowder expendable, Dragic seems to be about done and is here for salary ballast, and I'll worry about 2026...when it's 2026 lol.

This trade is both 125% compliant and hard cap compliant as well.

Probably not the absolute package I wanted for Poeltl, but at the end of the day, his market wasn’t very deep. I think only a handful of teams have enquired, and/or sent deals since he’s been on the shopped. Mainly 3 main teams though, also his skillset is a bit redundant on this team. He was barely getting sim tread with Gobert, and Bam on the team. Crowder is a pretty good 3&D, and Dragic is serviceable, Though I have something lined up at PG so Dragic will be moved. Most importantly, I get a potential tradable asset in a future first round pick, and extra cap relief(2023), which will potentially help bring back Gobert on a 5 year max.

Finally, the teams that missed out on the marquee FA are starting to shell out expensive short term contracts for good role players I was hoping to get on my full MLE so the opportunity to add extra depth is important for me.
