Luke Kennard has decided to return to Hanamichi Sakuragi and the Cavs on a five year deal worth $70 MM total. While he would have preferred a role as a starter, no team was willing to come close to this financial outlay with a starting role attached to make poaching him a reality. He will be a core player for the Cavs future, and one of their main bench guys as they try to get back next season in a deep playoff run.

Year 1 (2022-23): $13,000,000
Year 2 (2023-24): $13,500,000
Year 3 (2024-25): $14,000,000
