probasketballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/01/27/report-rajon-rondo-may-have-torn-acl/Now I know what it feels like when your favourite player on your favourite team suffers a potentially career ending injury which also pretty much guarantees a first round exit in the playoffs I just hope that, since Rondo doesn't rely on his athleticism as much as his counterpart point guard (Derrick Rose), his style of play will not be affected too much. Get well soon Rondo!

I'm a Knicks fan, and honestly don't like Rondo, but, I HATE seeing these injuries!
Get well Rajon, hope he comes back and is at least close to the same player as he was before.

I def wish him the best if luck. I am a huge arenas fan and his injury landed him overseas. Shoot tge Wizards were in first place at the all-star game.... Yeah that sucks. Wishing him luck!

Derrick Rose knows how it feels. Hopefully Rose can make an Adrian Peterson-like comback. Like you said, it's safer to assume Rondo will have a better chance than Rose to comeback the same player as he doesn't rely on his athleticism.

With today's medicine ACL isn't a career altering let alone a career ending injury anymore. I feel that Rondo should make a good recovery but shouldn't be the same until at least a year from now.

There are a lot of different degrees of ACL tears as well. Shumpert and Rose got hurt on the same exact day, "same" injury (ACL), but Shump is back for a few games already and building endurance back to regular PT. Rondo will most likely be back and be close to who he has always been.

I think the Celtics should tank this season, trade some of their vets and build through the OSFA where in they can have OJ Mayo and Josh Smith. They can have Rondo-Mayo-Pierce-Smith-KG next season! But we might see Pierce being traded.
We all know they can't win it all without Rondo.
