Hanamichi Sakuragi for your sim changes I couldn't allow Luke Kennard to play Center whilst Christian Wood played SF. I switched them around and I mean hey, it looks like it worked out for you this game anyway.

The argument is that it is not realistic right? I just gave you three links stating that three guards, shorter than 6'5 are being tasked to defend centers. They do not have minutes in Center position as per basketball ref. Now, tell me why a 6'7 guy with a long wingspan cannot do it?

Guards switching or rotating to defend centers is not at all the same as actually matching up and playing the position. Basketball References positional breakdown is also not great, I think 82games is better. Looks like Wood has only been considered to be a SF a few times when he was in Milwaukee. In those lineups Mirotic or DJ Wilson was the PF and Giannis was the C. Right off the bat I'd say it's wrong about Wood and Mirotic/Wilson, and they should be flipped, making Wood the PF. Then you have Giannis, who kind of breaks the concept of positions, and may have been the C, but would've been a point center in any case. So Wood was actually the most pure post on the floor even when being considered a SF. Holiday played no minutes at C according to 82games. The only potential time when he did would've been a weird small ball lineup where LeVert is recorded as the C. I'd say that's objectively wrong, and Torey Craig would've been the C and Holiday the PF. This is clearly a mostly positionless lineup though with the Pacers experimenting. So yeah, I think CLE is putting in some dumb lineups that aren't realistic. I wonder what the game does though, if you start Wood at SF will the sim just sub him to the C spot anyway? Ultimately real life has a lot more fluid match ups and rotations that will be way too complicated for NBA Live. I think our lineups should stick to the most generic idea of positions because that's how the game actually functions.

As expected, you will be the one to bring out the real discussion here and the most acceptable reason why the line-up in spotlight should not be accepted. How will the simulator reacts? But, you also contradicted yourself by using the old meta of positions as your justification in your examples even though you recognize that those are "generic" takes already and we have advancement to them. Using size as the reason why my line-up is not allowed is laughable at this point as the NBA today is not basing on it already. It is about roles now and the reality is roles are flexible and diverse in the league today. (I expected a lot from the veteran GMs here. Fortunately, Alex is always here saving them from failing my expectations)

The simulator does not use height therefore Wood won't be subbed in as C I'm guessing.
Also Hana's articles don't paint Gary Payton or Bruce Bowen as a center, they are misleading.

The sim has primary and secondary positions, so I was sort of thinking that if you just put Wood in as SF but didn't change his positions then the sim would probably just move him back to C during the game. I assume those two columns in the sim changes sheet actually change their positions though, so if Wood was set to SF that way I assume it probably doesn't adjust anything.

Sabonis PA would like to have a talk with you Chauncey. Tell Sabonis that Hana found a loophole and is starting Lavine at PF ( which he hasn't done all year) and he's getting exploited. If in-game adjustments were a thing, it wouldn't be an issue, but here we are I wish we were able to control the amount of minutes per player, like in 2k
