Can't say I've watched many Rockets games this year, but I thought Gordon was still a solid defender? Kinda is hard to gauge as the rockets were so bad. He started off the year really good offensively but used him less and less since they tried to trade him at the deadline |

Would be curious to see what Chauncey meant by him being a net negative on defense. I'll go 78 for now Was initially basing this off of his DBPM provided by basketballreference, which has him at -0.1. After a little more research, I found that this stat can be a little bogus and is just an overall estimate, and that a better stat is provided by ESPN, which is the DRPM. According to ESPN’s website, DRPM is “player’s estimated on-court impact on team defensive performance, measured in points allowed per 100 defensive possessions.” Eric Gordon is ranked 43rd among shooting guards in the league at -1.55 |
