First of all Tristan Thompson, 4 season with us, first player I re-signed, will always be a honorary Blazer. Reggie and JC, were great, but Maxey breakout this year and then Giddey grabbing himself a PG role when I wasn't sure what position he would play in the NBA, made them expendable in the right deal. Barnes was also great for us, but he is expiring, getting up there in age, maybe will want to play for a contender next year so I wasn't sure I would be able to bring him back, still thankful for his time here. Langford is a mix, started some playoff games when he was 21, I believe in his upside but he is always injured.

As to what I got, Danny Green and Shake Milton, fillers, that's it, Shake could do better outside of Philly, but right now he is stuck. Gordon Hayward, I love him, I tried to trade for him while he was in New Orleans but it didn't work out at the time, I'm taking him in, it's a small upgrade over Barnes, so all around I'm really happy about getting him despite his massive salary next season, so instead of gambling FA, I secure Hayward for 1 year. And obviously the big part of the deal MPJ. 2 1st round picks might seem a little excessive for a guy who's had 1 good year out of 4, specially considering my team current situation, but his ceiling is as high as anyone in this draft, and if you want to be at the top of D5 you have to gamble sometimes, and I'm choosing to gamble on him. I think Giddey - Maxey - MPJ is a real threat to become a big 3 in the future, I feel like they compliment each other well on offense, and yeah, it will be fun to see how they turn out.

Hernangomez cannot be traded until May 11, but the trade deadline for Ian is May 8. So he has to be removed from the trade, but that results in Ian being over the hard cap.

Alternatively the Celtics could include Tacko Fall instead of Hernangomez.

My Celtics have looked like the best team in the league all year but, with both MPJ and Murray injured, I've had one of the weakest benches. After the ratings decreases to Shake Milton, Jeff Teague, Juan Hernangomez, Danny Green and whoever else got dropped, and especially with a Lebron thread now posted, I clearly need to make every year count whilst Embiid is still in his prime.

Therefore I'm sacrificing a potentially gigantic chunk of my future, Michael Porter Jr, and taking on the big mix of players in Jerry's post above, from both Indiana and Portland.

My long term plan was to come out of the Embiid/Lebron era and re-tool with Jaylen, Murray and MPJ reaching their prime years but I'll have to do it now without MPJ.
