Current: 95 Per Game: 22.0 PTS | 7.7 REBS | 10.3 ASTS | 1.3 ST | 41% FG | 33% 3FG
2nd worst FG% in his career. Worst 3FG% in his career.
He is a different James Harden now.
Suggestion: 93
Quic -10

I wanna see if Harden can lead the 76ers out of the 2nd round with Embiid out. Not looking good so far.
I’ll go 92 for now. Might change depending on his performance without Embiid.

This is going to sound slanderous to some, but Harden simply has not been playing like a 90+ player for the past few months. He is not better than Luka (92), Butler (91), Tatum (90), Booker (90), etc. I know he still draw free throws at an elite level, and he is still an elite passer. But outside of that, what does he actually do? His athleticism is completely gone to the point that he cannot blow by defenders. If he doesn't have the ball in his hands, he is completely uninvolved in the offense. If he does have the ball in his hands, the only real move left in his arsenal is a super inefficient stepback 3 pointer that teams are content to just let him shoot. On defense, he is elite at stealing the ball on drives, but otherwise is just hidden on corner shooters.
I'm not sure he is still the guy we are making him out to be with 90+ votes. Yes, I know his TS% is being propped up by his free throw shooting- and, as I've said, he is still elite at getting to the line. But otherwise, Harden is a .402 FG%, .326 3p%, unathletic and uninvolved player.
The only argument I can see for not immediately voting him to the 87-88 range, which I truly believe is where he is actually playing, is that we tend to give some benefit of the doubt and slowly decrease players. I will subscribe to that philosophy here with my vote, but I don't think the outlook looks good for a soon-to-be 33 year old Harden in future seasons.

Harden heard the chatter 👀 More like he had a good night out in Philly and kept that energy going dropping buckets as opposed to slinging cash at women lol

Doubling down on my 89 When you have to rationalize the Sixer's loss without putting any blame on the supposed MVP candidate who's per game stats dropped by 7 points and 1.4 stocks in the playoffs.

You're absolutely right - this is the fault of the MVP runner-up, first center to lead the league in scoring since Shaq, who the Sixers were 0-2 without these playoffs, who was suffering from so many injuries I'm amazed he didn't sit out and Josh pounce upon it like spilled candy I do agree though that Embiid was totally gassed by the last game and had nothing left in the tank, kinda gave up, and I wasn't impressed.

He had a rough season. I think he wasn't in shape, and despite his claims to want to be in Philly, he just didn't look motivated out there. Very deferential, to a fault. He's still one of the best playmakers in the game, and demands a ton of defensive attention. He shot above league average TS%, still, despite appearing less capable of taking people off the dribble, and getting what I perceived to be a different whistle than he used to get. He still had the occasional game where he seemed to have his full athletic faculties, so his season-long performance was somewhat confusing. I'm hopeful he has a return to form after a solid off-season. I wish Doc wasn't there. I think a different coach could get more out of Harden-Embiid.
92.
