I Will take the cap space and moving up into a possible lottery pick or at least move up in this draft and get 2 young guys I like to help build the team around.

Feels like the Kings win this trade, but you're both veteran GMs so I accept.

What exactly is the direction of the Pacers? It feels like Larry makes moves in different directions every month. Here in this trade they are giving up $60m in cap space AND getting a worse first round pick. Hayward and Oubre have SWs to 83 and 79, respectively. What exactly is the purpose of this for Indiana? And what exactly is the direction of the team? What is the vision in Indiana?

Uuuummmmmmmm
Color me confused, I guess.
Even Amar'e's explanation feels backwards. You're not taking on any cap, buddy. Gain cap space this year (a little), gain a metric TON of cap space next year, and again the year after that... Plus you get the better pick.... Plus, arguably, the best player in the deal.
It's hard to reject but I'm kind of where Barber is. I'd like to hear more from Larry on this one. If he doesn't chime in, I just need to think on it a bit more.
