brown is at 2.2 raptor Murray is at 2.2. I’m not gonna defend Jaylen, I don’t see him as insurmountably better than Murray. But Murray is not an 88 no shot in the universe. Murray is a 2.9, Brown is a 2.2. And it's not really the point. The point is he used Jaylen Brown as an example, and Morant for that matter, and he shouldn't have. Brown has 61 playoff games and is a proven player when it matters. It’s completely asinine that you’re taking pot shots for me using Brown as an example when the player you’re pumping has NEVER shown it in games that matter. Ja Morant is a true 1st option, and you’re trying to make some kind of stupid ass stretch comp to justify an unbelievably inflated rating ask. |

An all encompassing number that translates directly to their defensive ability. And you turn around and say it doesn’t matter. So what advanced stats matter? |

I think Murray's counting stats and advanced stats on a top 3 seed, with slightly higher TS%, would warrant an 88-90 player. I think Murray is getting flak here that isn't deserved and I'm not quite sure why. The only argument I'm seeing against Murray is player comparison and playoff success... These aren't really great arguments.
Is he an 88? No I don't think so. Winning and playoffs matter of course. But sometimes I think you guys focus on flaws so much you miss the actual argument. Murray's stats, with slightly higher efficiency and on a deep playoff team, and we'd be talking a potential 90.
So how is an 85-86 undeserved?
