I don't know why Houston likes this deal, but I accept. Same...since Lee needs re-signed I guess I'm alright with it.

I don't know why Houston likes this deal, but I accept. Based on last off-season, expiring players without bird rights are only worth for what they can do right now. With that said, the deal is pretty much Greg Smith for a 2nd. I would rather keep Smith because he is cheap, Houston has his bird rights and he showed some great potential against Lakers (21 points, 7-8 fg, 7-8 ft, 9 rebounds, 2 blocks) and Celtics (20 points, 8-9 fg, 6 rebounds, 3 blocks). However, the deal is not rejectable because Smith still needs to show some regularity. On Bulls side, this is an ok deal but not great because they won’t hold Smith's bird rights.

While I can understand the logic behind having a players Bird Rights, in sim leagues, you never really know when it's gonna end or how long it will run, so trying to win now is a good mentality to have for most. On the plus side of things, I think this league will be around for awhile so I'm pretty sure bird rights will affect a lot of peoples opinions on trades and such.

I like Smith but I have 5 other bigs better than him on my team (Wilcox, Brand, Gasol, Arthur, and Splitter).

On the other hand, next off-season you will start with 0 pfs because wilcox, brand, arthur and Splitter are expiring. When you are in rebuilding mode it doesn't make much of a difference if you have 5 or 7 big men. It is all about getting a good pick
