Current: 95 Proposed: 97
I don't have the time for a lengthy description but it seems pretty clear Embiid has ascended to an even higher level this season. I guess I could shoot for a 98, and he'd deserve it, but I'd be content with 97.
MVP this year seems to either be 95 Embiid, 98 Giannis or 98 Jokic.
Defensively he's excellent but on offense, by some metrics and stats I've seen on Reddit, he's currently the greatest per-minute scorer in the history of the league or something.
He's even more efficient than usual, 3PT% has climbed to 39% at time of writing.
Season stats: 28.7ppg 10.7rpg 4.3apg 1.0spg 1.4bpg
Someone else could perhaps expand on the advanced stats that are off the charts, I don't follow those stats too closely.

His stats look nearly identical to last year to me, if not a little worse in efficiency (.636 TS% last year compared to .612% TS this year). At some point, a player reaches his ultimate rating, and I feel like that might be 95 for Embiid. Here are some comparisons to Jokic:
Jokic .650 TS% / Embiid .612 TS% Jokic 13.8 rpg / Embiid 10.7 rpg Jokic 7.6 apg / Embiid 4.3 apg Jokic 1.4 spg / Embiid 1.0 spg Jokic 0.8 bpg / Embiid 1.4 bpg Jokic +9.0 offensive raptor / Embiid +4.4 offensive raptor Jokic +6.7 defensive raptor / Embiid +2.0 defensive raptor Jokic +25.5 net rating / Embiid +8.6 net rating
Outside of averaging more blocks, Jokic is a better player in pretty much every single basic and advanced statistic. He has nearly 3x the impact on his team compared to Embiid in net rating. I feel like that warrants at least a few rating points difference.
Also keep in mind that Embiid started this year off rather poorly. This is a well-time stockwatch with his recent 2 week hot streak, but this is the same guy who was shooting 43% FG for the first half of the season.
Embiid is a top 10 player, for sure, but I don't think he's on the level of Jokic, Giannis, etc.
95 no change

I went through some of the guys in this highest echelon of ratings and juxtaposed their advanced and traditional stats against Embiid, and when Embiid is side by side against KD, Steph, LeBron, Giannis, and Jokic, looking at the totality of measures and stats he’s behind all of them but KD where he is slightly ahead on advanced stats. His play does warrant an increase, but I think he is close to capping out rating wise IMO

No change 95.
He is playing great, but definitely not as good as Jokic. Has offensively both inside and outside game and is a good defender, but he is not as good of a playmaker, and I can see that the 3 point difference in rating has to be somewhere
This is for Walt maybe, but is there any rating points where he is not yet pretty much maxed already to what he does? If we make him 97 or 98 and only reasonable place to add points is passing or some guard skills, then it just makes him unrealistic?
