Current Rating: 80
2021 Stats - 20 ppg 8.3 apg 7.7 rpg 1.9 sg .5 bpg
Only a small handful of players have ever averaged 20/8/8 in NBA history.
He is putting up those stats while posting shooting numbers of 42% FG, almost 40% 3pt and 90% FT.
His 3 point shooting and defense (4th in league) have improved significantly. He anticipates and jumps passing lanes as well as anyone I have ever seen.
Since his last stock watch, he has continued to amass quite the resume:
* NBA Rookie of the Year * Youngest player to ever post a triple double * True PG leader of his team which he has almost single handily transformed to a legit playoff team. * Leading his team in rebounds, assists and steals. Only .2 points from being points leader as well. * Posted season highs of 36 points, 17 rebounds, 14 assists and 5 steals. * Just recently named Sports Illustrated "Breakthrough Athlete of the Year" * Currently about to break into the NBA top 10 MVP candidates.
This kid is just different and it doesn't take long watching him to know it. The game is so easy to him and he 100% is on pace to be the face of the NBA in the future.
Suggested Rating : 88

He’s better than his 80 rating, that’s undoubtedly true. However, it’s been only a 39 game sample size since he last SW in March of this year, and despite the impressive play I don’t see him in that upper 80s range just yet. He’s got no playoff performances, or even a full season of career games (just 74 played in his two seasons) to benchmark such a high rating.

88 he's a basketball genius who sees the game better than practically anyone else.
I actually think this rating might be too low by the end of the season

I think there's room to grow on the defensive and efficiency side, but there's no denying the talent and BBIQ.

We run stock watch enough, generally, that if an 86 is actually too high in a couple of months, we can bring him down. But, I think something in the 85-86 range is actually devaluing his current production & athletic profile enough that it leaves room to grow, while still giving him credit for some fantastic production he's already amassing.

83. Y’all talk about efficiency with guys like Edwards and Murray but ignore it here.
Ball is shooting 41.8%. Edwards is shooting 42.4% Murray is shooting 44.7%

Ball is shooting very few 2's @chauncey billups. This is where stats only can lie to you. Ball is shooting way better from 3 and 90% from the FT line. Not all stats are the same

His TS% is actually lower this year albeit slightly. I think 85 is perfect at this moment in time. If he keeps up the 3 point shooting and continues this level of play with slight improved D, he’s gonna be around an 88.

Mike Krzyzewski He’s shooting 9.9 2P a game. That’s not very few. In comparison, Edwards is shooting 10.4. Jared Montini Also lol at using TS%. That stat is a joke. Factoring in FT% into a shooting percentage proves nothing. BUT if you want to use that stat: Ball .538 TS% Edwards .532 TS% The fact of the matter is, he’s shooting 41.8% from the field.
