Total: $16,039,255
Denver Sends:
78 Marcin Gortat $6,790,640 $7,258,960 $7,727,280 74 Al-Farouq Aminu $2,755,560 $2,947,800 [red]$3,749,602[/red] $5,054,463 66 Luke Walton $5,680,000 $5,800,000
Total: $15,226,200
I accept. I'm giving up some more talent but I really like where my lineup is after this. I mainly have players I actually like instead of random guys with average ratings.
Rodney Stuckey - Trevor Ariza - Al Farouq Aminu - Carlos Boozer - Marcin Gortat
I also keep my 9 mil in cap room this offseason to try to pick up another piece.

I accept. I am a big fan of Gortat and I hate that I'm trading him right now but this should benefit my team. Al Jefferson consistently puts up excellent numbers and I expect him to keep doing that even though Kanter and Favors will take some of his minutes. I'm also a little torn on Aminu, I'm 100% sure he is going to have a break out season but I think it will be because of inflated stats from playing on a bad team just as much as actual improvement. He's still only 22 though so who knows. I like the 34th pick too, I think there will still be good players available and Stephenson is low risk potentially high reward, he could be Jordan Crawford or he could be playing in the D-League next year.

This trade will have to be put on hold due to the contingency of the Bucks/Jazz trade being processed when the 12/13 salaries kick in.

And the salaries advance in like a week when the finals end?

And the salaries advance in like a week when the finals end? A week after the Finals end, officially. Unofficially it will probably be sooner than that because there's no point having a week of just waiting around - I'll make an announcement when it happens and these trades will be processed.

Should we vote on these or just wait until that time?

Well let's see.
Gortat needs a bump in ratings IMO, and he's locked up a couple more years very reasonably.
Aminu suddenly looks better than most people expected after his struggles in the NBA to this point. He helps this trade go through for me, b/c otherwise I think it starts to lean heavily towards Denver (again).
Luke Walton is a pure negative value to this trade, almost 6 million in cap space used on a worthless player is a big bummer to any team, so yea.
Al Jeff could probably go up a bit as well though, IMO. He is expiring this coming season though, so that hurts his value a bit.
I like Lance Stephenson as a guy who could break out a little bit, but right now his value is not very high.
The pick is a 2nd rounder, but it's a very high one, so it actually has a little bit of value in this draft class. Still not a lot though.
Al Jeff > Gortat (by a little...he does expire next year but he's definitely a better player and worth more even so). Aminu & Walton about cancel each other out I guess.
So, Denver also gets pick 34 and Stephenson for free (IMO) plus he won the Al Jeff for Gortat part. While he gave up the next most valuable piece in Aminu, he also got out of the Walton contract.
I think this is a mistake by Utah. I like that he went after some players he likes and that he has a plan for his team, but you do have to keep value in mind while you go after pieces you like.
All of that said, it's not QUITE in "reject" territory for me, so I'll pass it through. If Walton was not also expiring next season it would be a much bigger drag on the deal.

I accept. Jefferson still has a little value left, and Aminu and Gortat are good players. It's a fair deal
I accept.

While I think more value could have been gotten for Jefferson, the deal isn't bad. Gortat and Aminu have some good upside.
I accept
