*** These are this past seasons numbers as I am pretty sure that is what we are using at this point still. If this needs to be updated with new season contract numbers just let me know. It will work salary wise either way.
*** Day'Ron Sharpe's contract is based on the 2020 25th pick...I didn't see the 2021 25th pick contract numbers anywhere.

Clippers accept.
I went after Terry Rozier in FA last year extremely aggressively but didn't get him. We are very excited to add him to our starting lineup now. He is only 27 and truly the veteran leader of the Hornets (NBA) and his contract is extremely reasonable for multiple years (and declining).
We hate to lose Toppin in this deal but Rozier is much more of a guarantee going forward in my opinion.

Sacramento continues to dilute their talent. Five trades in one week and in my opinion the only trade that wasn't bad value was the Wiggins trade. Now many teams have decided to rebuild, that's not exactly a problem, but in this case it is because the Kings don't own either their 2022 1st or their 2024 1st. Blowing up your team when you don't own your own picks isn't exactly the smartest move. D'Angelo Russell, Danilo Gallinari and Brook Lopez may be good enough to get into the playoffs in the west, but that's the ceiling, it's basically purgatory, and fully tanking isn't an option with the pick situation.
As for this trade, I'm not quite sure it's rejectable, but just 3 days ago Amare was "very high on Rozier", and now he's shipped out for a worthless Rondo and two prospects that aren't exactly the cream of the crop, though maybe I'm just low on Obi Toppin.
Also it doesn't make sense to include Sharpe's salary if this past season's salaries are being used. His contract doesn't start until the upcoming season. It doesn't affect the trade though, it still works without his salary, so whatever.
The trade committee of old would probably start scrutinizing things a lot more, but I feel like we've just become a rubber stamp at this point. I think Sacramento is playing with fire though.

Accept. I like Rozier and his deal is really good value, but Obi's worth a roll at least this early. In terms of direction it doesn't make much sense but I'm not so high on Terry that I think this is worth rejecting.
