Jalen took on a much more defined role with the Hornets down the last 23 games of the season after being only occasionally used early on (including 18 starts). He made huge strides in his 2nd season and turned into a legit rotation player.
Season stats - 7.4 points 3.6 rebounds 1 assist .4 blocks .6 steals 47% FG% 33% 3P%
Not bad for a developing young player in 19 minutes of action on average. But when you look at his last 23 games, his numbers jump considerably.
Last 23 games - 11 points 5.3 rebounds 1.9 assists .6 blocks 1.1 steals 48% FG% 36% 3P%
His game highs during this run included 21 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists, 4 steals and 2 blocks.
Many players make big strides in their 2nd year and it looks like Jalen is one of them. Looking forward to his 3rd season and continued development as a 6'9" wing player / slasher.
