Total: $20,284,655 Trading away Ben Simmons kills a little bit of me inside. A year ago when I traded for Lebron I thought I'd be able to navigate the Hard Cap without losing any of my best draftees, but it's 1 week until the trade deadline and here we are; the first trade where I'm fairly sure I'm losing in the long run. Nevertheless MPJ has turned into a solid young starter for the Nuggets with All Star potential and I'm happy to welcome him to Boston! With this deal I can play Lebron at point guard, or Jamal Murray when he's back from injury, and with my injuries this year Jeff Teague and James Johnson will probably perform fairly important supporting roles. Good luck to Jerami and especially Ben, who have been with my team for 7 and 5 years respectively.

With BRs on Ben Simmons I'm confident I can re-sign him this off-season. Undecided yet on who plays PG but pairing him up with Brogdon sounds nice. Grant can play both F positions and obviously he'll be at my starting 5 plus he has a great contract too.
Still have my lottery pick this year too so this I think is a great trade for Philly.
I accept.

Wow. I'm sure Ian had a bunch of hard choices to pick from, but the fact that he settled on trading away Simmons is still surprising. Good job to Philly on being able to seize the opportunity.
Accept.

I suppose it makes sense for both sides. Celtics get a good young player back and skirt the cap issue for a while, 76ers get two players that will probably end up long-term starters.
Accept.

Considering Simmons is not a great sim player I feel like this was the best case for him
