June 13th - Playoff Team Trading DeadlineIn just under two weeks we will hit the Playoff Team Trading Deadline! After June 13th any teams who qualify for the playoffs cannot trade any players until after their playoff run has ended! Whether or not a team has qualified for the Playoffs will be represented in the Standings. For this and other scheduled deadlines please continue to check the Schedule.

Whatever happened to the suggestion of changing the trade deadline rule? Basically we flip how it's applied so that all teams are banned from trading once we hit the deadline, then once you're eliminated you're free to trade again. So it prevents some playoff teams from being able to trade while others can just because they haven't mathematically clinched yet. That was a good idea imo.

I don't remember this being proposed but I'm fine with it for next season and beyond. |
