Currently a 73, and just looking for a minor bump up to a 76. For context, McConnell is fourth in the League in steals per game (1.7) despite playing the fewest MPG (25) by far of any player in the top 10 of SPG (next closest is Lonzo at 29 MPG for top 10 steals). He’s also upped his AST % to 35%, which for players in the League sporting this type of assist rate he’s only bested by Rondo as far as maintaining this level juxtaposed to his minutes per game. Excluding him and Rondo, every other player in the top 20 for assist percentage (not counting those who haven’t played enough games to qualify, like Delly, in that list) averages at least 31 MPG or more.
In short, his 30 rating points I’m suggesting should be split between two attributes — Passing and Steals— to drive Passing up from its current level (81) to the 86-90 range, and then his steals rating (55) should go way up, as this year isn’t an outlier for him. He’s averaged at least 1 SPG his entire career, and has had four seasons of 1.2 or more SPG
